Mystery surrounds holes in roof

Emergancy workers have been left baffled in Melbourne after large holes were formed in the roofs of two houses. Police believe the incident could be down to a rare weather phenomenon while others believe it to be a meteorite.
Large holes were blown in the roofs of two Grovedale homes on Saturday afternoon, baffling emergency workers and weather experts. One couple reported hearing a loud bang, while a neighbour also heard the crashing sound about 3.30pm, The Geelong Advertiser reported.

Don't know why the article says it baffles weather experts. The way I read the article it seems the weather people very quickly said weather had nothing to do with it.
