This is very silly. Where's the proof of such a claim? Anyone in those days "could" have visited England. It doesn't mean they did. Wishful thinking. The BBC is getting worse.

no no, come on, everyone knows he's in India! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roza_Bal (my mother actually believes this! hahaha... bless her, I love her, but sometimes she's NUTS LOL) perhaps my reason ? 1. the lifetime of Gautama Buddha ( est 563 BCE - 483 BCE ). we can assume by jesus time the teaching of Buddhism may reach there. 2. Alexander the Great (356–323 BC) . trade and communication to india is possible .

Alexander the Great (356323 BC) . trade and communication to india is possible . Oh I agree with that... I have no doubt that it's quite possible Jesus had heard the teachings of Buddhism or even Hinduism. I have NO doubt that people traveled a LOT and to some pretty far flung places even 2500 years ago or more. But did Jesus get crucified, mistaken for dead, then fled his tomb to India to live out his natural life? I kinda dont' think so... ... [More]

It says "to further his education." Wasn't England at the time barbaric? The best education was in Rome.

Lord of Rubiesin Rome he can only lern mathematics, maybe some astronomy. But in Britain he can lern the mysterious history.

I can't imagine any realistic way this could have happened. Doesn't it seem like... 1. Jesus' ministry lasted around three years. Obviously this didn't happen during his ministry because it would mean he spent a minimum of 17% of his ministry on the [non-Middle Eastern] road. Wouldn't the Bible have mentioned this? 2. If he went before his ministry, how could he afford to take that much time off from work? Presumably he started apprenticing as a carpenter when he was ~12 yrs. old. He would have been tied professionally to various shops from then on until he quit carpentry to start preaching.
