Burp-less sheep to be bred in Australia

In a bid to reduce greenhouse gas emissions scientists are planning to breed sheep that burp less - but is this going too far ?
Two thirds of Australia's greenhouse gas emissions can be attributed to livestock, two thirds of which being methane. With pressure on to reduce these emissions scientists are looking to breed the animals to be less flatulent.
Australian scientists are hoping to breed burp-less sheep in a bid to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The agriculture sector is the nation's second biggest source of greenhouse gas emissions behind the energy sector, producing about 16 per cent of Australia's total emissions, The Sunday Mail reports.
