A man in New Zealand has taken a photograph of a post office that appears to show a ghostly figure in one of the windows.
Andrew Watters and his partner had been spending the weekend in St Bathans in search of haunted locations. In one photograph of a local post office there appeared to be the face of a ghostly woman looking out of an upstairs window. ( Image: see full article )
An Invercargill man has taken a photograph that could be proof of the afterlife, or it could be a cloud – who knows? Andrew Watters travelled to St Bathans, near Alexandra, with his partner Kim Ward during the weekend in search of the spirits that reputedly haunt its buildings.

I do not believe in ghosts. Nor do I believe that it is a cloud - no reflections of clouds or the sky, even the sun, in the other windows.

This did not "freak me out". It immediately made think that the owner of that building or flat has pasted a paper poster on one of the window-blinds-(shades?). The other two windows seem to have shades of the same colour but without the poster. That was my first thought too. I thought it kinda looked like a picture of sorts.

A live 2 hours drive from the location, there's a lot of ghost stories about people who stay in the hotel. This picture is legit not photoshopped. But the verdict is still out whether it is a cloud or a ghost. Something to do with a dead prostitute in the gold rush days. I personally have been in the hotel and got a coffee on way through to holiday house. Google Vulcan hotel NZ for more info.

Lol, almost exactly 2 years to the day since I last chipped in on this topic. And I still don't think it's a ghost.

I have to agree with Moonie, the objections about how it's not getting pixellated as you zoom in don't make any sense. The furthest zoomed out pic is clearly not the resolution of the original pic, and the closer pics are almost certainly taken from the original and resized to fit the desired size for the webpage. As a result, you wouldn't expect the zoomed in pics to look like mere enlargements of the zoomed out low-res pic of the building. I don't know what it is, but I don't think it's a cloud and I see no reason to think the image has been tampered with. edit: I didn't realise this was a 2... [More]

Looks two dimensional to me. I say it's a picture. Even after two years it's still a great thread to read
