Chemicals blamed for bee colony collapse

Toxic chemicals and pathogens are likely to blame for bee colony collapse according to new research.
The mystery as to why some hives appear to be completely abandoned leaving behind only the queen and a few newly hatched adults has been investigated for years and now it seems toxic chemicals may be the key.
A combination of toxic chemicals and pathogens are probably to blame for colony collapse disorder in honeybees, according to a study conducted by researchers at Washington State University.
