Mars rover falls in to silence

NASA have conceded that the Mars rover Spirit has stopped responding to attempts to communicate with it.
Since 2004 the Mars rover Spirit has trundled over the Martian surface but after having been stuck in one place for over a year and with the onset of the freezing martian winter Spirit has now fallen silent.
The aging, sand-trapped Mars rover Spirit failed to make a scheduled communication this week and may have gone into a power-saving hibernation to survive the Red Planet's winter, NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory said Wednesday.

Looks like martians have just discovered how to pull off a grand theft auto *sigh*... Thats what we get when human tv satellite signals reach the tv's of interstellar life. Either that or they just got their hands on the game Grand Theft Auto IV so now we can expect to see the grey's starting their own drug business.

Oh dear, do you think it's been suppressed because it was about to reveal the truth about something or other? ... or it's been hijacked by the Martians? or perhaps just, like Marvin, it got very, very depressed by being stuck in the same place for a year.

Submission to Congress: (joke) With threat of certain death, action was maintained above and beyond the call of duty. Your un-dying courage serves as an inspiration to us all. You maintained both your dignity and mission. I hereby nominate you as the first recipient of the robotic medal-of-honor.
