Residents hit by plague of hairy caterpillars

Residents in parts of England are being forced indoors by plagues of hairy caterpillars outside their homes.
The caterpillars are becoming more common in England due to rising temperatures. Covered in barb-like hairs the brown tail moth caterpillars can strip trees bare in no time and can cause severe allergic reactions if their hairs are inhaled.There's something blowing on the breeze in West Street. And it's not pleasant. Residents are keeping their windows and doors tightly closed, and gardens are no-go areas. Some householders even need to don full-body protective clothing - complete with breathing masks - to venture outside.
