Researchers have found that cartilage in the joints of dinosaurs would have made them a lot taller.
The new research indicates that dinosaurs would have been a lot taller than previous estimates due to the thickness of the cartilage in their joints, the news also helps scientists understand how humans and other animals developed joints with such varying amounts of cartilage in them.
Researchers at the University of Missouri and Ohio University have found that dinosaurs had thick layers of cartilage in their joints, which means they may have been considerably taller than previously thought.

No kidding! It dosen't take a mastermind to figure that one out. And they call themselve intellects. Go figure?. Not to mention that the cartilage must have been enormous in proportions to its bone structure in order to cary and cushion the weight of these creatures. So ya, obviously they were much taller as a result. Oakum

"Significantly Taller", so what was thought to be a 42 foot tall dino might have been 43 feet tall according to the article. Is that really "Significantly Taller"? Hardly, "just a bit taller" would have been more accurate imho.

Of course a small increase of one foot when compared to 42 feet is unimpressive. But look at some of the other dinosaurs. Triceratops, for instance, is up to 10% taller in light of this information. I don't know about you, and I mean no offense, but 10% is a highly significant chunk of pretty much anything, at least IMO. I mean, yeah, it's still sort of "small", but 10% of anything is still a statistically significant portion of whatever the object/organism is.
