Data from the Cassini spacecraft has shown that Titan's gravity lifts up part of the ring in a 'tidal wave'.
The rings of Saturn contain many gaps however it has never been fully understood what creates them and keeps them open, scientists have puzzled over this ever since Voyager first flew by the planet in the 1980s.
A crack in one of Saturn’s rings could be held open by the planet’s largest moon, Titan. A new analysis of data from the Cassini orbiter shows that Titan’s gravity lifts part of the ring in a rotating tidal wave almost two miles high.

Saturn's rings are fascinating and absolutely beautiful. i agree, you know when you look through a telescope at Saturn, it looks fake, well it does to me. so beautiful it almost doesn't look real, if you know what i mean. i cant describe it.

Read a recent article that stated Saturn's rings are only 33 feet thick. I thought that was amazing.
