Electric eel powers Christmas tree lights

A Japanese aquarium has taken to powering its Christmas tree lights using electric eels.
The aquarium uses aluminum panels inside the tanks to channel the electricity generated by the eels' movements in to powering the lights on their Christmas tree, this year they've also added a robotic Santa in to the mix.
Christmas traditions don't get much stranger than having an electric eel power the tree lights, but one Japanese aquarium has made such a display into a recurring eco-friendly theme for the past five years.

Its amazing ! I wonder how much electricity he is saving from that?? and I wonder why he didn't try to plug the tree right into the power socket in 1st place? Hmmm... But anyways quite a unique idea!
