Pluto may be home to a liquid ocean

Move over Europa - new computer models suggest Pluto may also hide a hidden ocean under its surface.
The claim is based on the idea that ice beneath the frozen surface may have melted from the heat generated by the decay of radioactive potassium, more details should emerge when NASA's New Horizons spacecraft reaches Pluto in 2015.
Freezing, distant Pluto seems an odd place to look for oceanfront real estate, but if a new computer model is correct, the dwarf planet harbors a sizeable pool of liquids beneath its thick icy shell.

Earlier they were debating about whether Pluto is a planet or not and now they are saying that there might be an ocean there Nice theories ! and even after we found proof of water on moon and even on Mars in frozen form the scientists are still unable to conclude that Alien life surely exists then its very unlikely that they will conclude anything about Pluto. I will surely be happy if some we see some aliens hanging around on Pluto.

This is funny. They can't see Pluto, don't know what it looks like and still can't decide if it's a planet or not, but they think they're sure there's water "hidden" underneath the surface? Nice one science *thumbs up* Yep, and to think religion is confusing. Hehe.

I feel sorry for Pluto, all alone out there with no friends. They should let him be a planet again. He didn't do anything wrong.

Yep, and to think religion is confusing. Hehe. What's so confusing? Calling something a 'planet' or not is an entirely semantic decision that has nothing to do with its physical reality. The ocean idea comes from physical models of the body, indicating that with its composition and mass a few hundred km down it probably has a large layer of liquid water. What's the confusion?
