A prosthetic ear worn by Leonard Nimoy for Star Trek: The Motion Picture is to go up for auction.
Expected to fetch up to £700 ( $1100 ) the appendage is being auctioned in Los Angeles by Premiere Props, after the movie was filmed the ear was carefully wrapped up and stored to prevent it from deteriorating.
It may seem completely illogical, but fans of the smash Sixties television show Star Trek are expected to fork out hundreds of pounds for a single piece of memorabilia from the franchise.
