Simcha Jacobovici believes he has located two of the nails used in the crucifixion of Jesus.
In a new film entitled "The Nails of the Cross", Jacobovici details his research. "What we are bringing to the world is the best archaeological argument ever made that two of the nails from the crucifixion of Jesus have been found," he says.
Many ancient relics, including other nails supposedly traced back to the crucifixion, have been presented over the centuries as having a connection to Jesus. Many were deemed phony, while others were embraced as holy.

Nobody will know for sure what relics are associated with Jesus.

I will. And if you watch my Discovery Channel special and purchase my book, you can too. And you can use them to shout down any non-believers. Consider it wisdom and the ability to sound like you know something. Only $19.99.

Each monastery, abbey or other cloitre in EU has at least one piece of the true cross and one nail, or pieces of a nail... that would be enough wood and metal to create 500 crosses and someone nailed on it so what would be couple more nails? Furthermore I thought the nails were used to maintain the blade on the Heilige Lance http://http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.ww2incolor.com/d/214604-2/2562268403_d8f078944a&imgrefurl=http://album.keskyla.ee/Nunnu/spear-of-destiny-hitler&usg=__E_sUQSR7o1AB-fIcN0S1sNj1BzI=&h=400&w=266&sz=14&hl=en&start=0&sig2=2u9... Been looking today at the story behind the sensationalism, and there's just no way to even link it to Caiaphas' tomb, is there? Lost For 20 Years NOT even the nails directly taken from the tomb that can be proven, and 'lost' for 20 years or so? Hmmm.... You never want to pee on someone's strawberries, but it does sound like a load of old toot, just made up to swirl up a newsworthy story/documentary. The most chilling thing for me was one news report that showed a fossilised ankle bone with a Roman nail driven right through it. Brrrrrr!!!! Nasty!! But I can't believe they're trying to pass this... [More]

And how many people were crucified by the Romans using nails? They could have come from anybody's crucifixion!
