A fisherman has reported having his boat rammed and almost toppled over by a giant man-eating shark.
The 60-year-old who had fished the area his whole life believes the shark was an oceanic white tip, a species notorious for feeding frenzies around shipwrecks. Experts however remain skeptical and have claimed that even if such a shark had made its way to the British coast the waters are so cold that the shark would be practically comatose.
In a scene reminiscent of the film Jaws, a fisherman out on the water has said he was nearly toppled from his wooden boat by the man eating shark. The angler was out looking for mackerel a mile off the coast of St Ives, when suddenly his boat was rammed by the 7ft fish.
