If mankind were to develop interstellar space travel, where in the galaxy should we go first ?
It's a question that has been discussed at the 100-Year Starship Symposium, a meeting sponsored by DARPA as part of a $1 million initiative to determine what it would take to develop interstellar space flight within 100 years. Astronomers and scientists debated possible destinations, contending that a good target would be a planet in another solar system that is likely to support life.
