Thousands petition Obama over ET contact

The only thing I can see as a major problem with this is...'if' the president and his men are really really aware of ET.. and IF it is deemed as a military secret or national security issue, then nothing will be revealed by a petition. If previous "mass" anti-war rallies and the current Wall St protests don't change a thing, why will a web based collection of email signatories make a difference? Even though I 'really' do want disclosure

I dont think the President would even know if his goverment were involved. Leaders come and go so often they wouldnt want all these ex-leaders walking around and knowing, obviously controlled from a backroom elite and the president is a puppet if theres any truth in it. so the word from the President is that there is nothing to report as far as he knows there is no thruth in ET contact etc.

Sorry for being a bit off topic, but is there someone out there, (like James Randi, offering a million dollars to anyone who can prove anything paranormal is true) offering a reward for anyone who can prove ET exists/visits Earth? So many times during these UM discussions, I think to myself, 'All it takes is ONE person who is allowed onto a 'ship', to take pictures/video with their phone and to be allowed a few items to show the rest of the world'..... *sighs*

Mr Bassett good wok but even you collect the rest of these signatures I don't believe the White House will disclose any UFO documents to the public,however I do believe some day IT's will show up in public to leave proof of alien life, they been here here already is just matter of time is right.
