A Myrtle Beach hotel was the scene of another bird death mystery as 30-40 of them fell dead from the sky.
Workers at the Ocean Forest Resort Hotel reported a number of unexplained bird deaths at around 2am on Sunday morning. "The birds were just landing with a plop, some of them chirped and squirmed for a few minutes before they died. I've never seen anything like it," said one security guard. One theory is that the birds were colliding with the building due to poor visibility.
The apparent death of 30-40 birds has workers at one Myrtle Beach hotel wondering what's to blame. Ocean Forest Resort Hotel Security Guard Brandon Nelson said between 30 and 40 birds of various breeds fell from the sky around 2 Sunday morning while he was patrolling the building.

If birds are falling around a building it's a fair bet they bumped into it ,if it has a lot of big glass windows it's even more likely ,if it was 2am and the birds were trying to fly in artificial light then it's hardly suprising .Most bird species are not nocturnal by nature and have evolved to fly in daylight ,city lights confuse them and make them think it's day time when it's not but visability is poor compared to natural sunlight and so they collide with things ,esp things that look transparent..like windows . No birds do not have radar..actually bats don't either ,they build up a picture... [More]

ok so this can be easaly writen off or not. a couple of factors here. first they are of different breeds so that rules out the whole hitting the hotel building then falling down. birds tend to "flcok together" but not 5 or six different types. now second can be the whole revelations thing "end of the wolrd" blah blah stuff I'm not saying i do believe or i don't I;m just going ot wait and see what happends. or the third factor here. people pulling off a prank lets say for example. Thoese morons in the van saying its the end of the world touring around everywere in a van was supposibly may21st n... [More]

My thesis is that since we are drastically changing the world around us, the birds, wildlife in general, can't keep up with the change. Since the industrial revolution and the age of Skyscrapers, birds have been having problems with getting confused. As we all should know, birds use magnetism to find their way, we humans sure love magnetism (Electricity). So who knows, maybe they think our electric grids are north? Lets just say that its our fault the wild world is falling apart.

It is no secret that the U.S. government has been working on mirror imaging (cloaking) technology for aircraft. When I see these stories I often wonder if the two are related. This would be something that could present a major problem with this technology on aircraft at low altitude. I would imagine that the birds would fly right into it.
