A six-legged calf that defied the odds by surviving past seven weeks has become a minor Swiss celebrity.
The outlook seemed grim for Lilli when she was born with a curve on her spine and two extra limbs, but despite the odds she survived. Farmer Andreas Knutti admitted that when he first saw Lilli he couldn't bring himself to euthanize her because she was 'so full of life'. If all goes to plan Lilli will be able to join her fellow cows on the Alpine pastures in the summer.
Being born with two extra legs may not the best start in life for a cow, but Lilii, the six-legged calf, refuses to be cowed into hiding away because of her disability.
