Mugger attack turns man in to math genius

Surviving the attack with only a concussion, Jason soon discovered that something was different. Not long after the attack he became obsessed with drawing complex fractals and was able to see mathematical formulas everywhere he looked.

"Savant syndrome is the development of a particular skill, that can be mathematical, spatial, or autistic, that develop to an extreme degree that sort of makes a person super human," said neuroscientist Berit Brogaard.
