China's latest space mission has been a resounding success as the crew landed after 13 days.
The mission played a pivotal role in China's ambition to build a space station by 2020. Three astronauts, including the country's first female astronaut, spent two weeks at the Tiangong-1 orbiting laboratory module. During the mission the astronauts conducted their first manual docking.
"This is another outstanding contribution by the Chinese people to humanity's efforts to explore and use space," said Premier Wen Jiabao, hailing the mission as a 'complete success'.
