Scientists turn fresh air in to petrol

A company in Britain has developed a revolutionary technique that can convert air in to gasoline.
Air Fuel Synthesis is hoping to help curb global warming and solve the energy crisis by converting carbon dioxide and water vapor in to fuel. The company has so far managed to produce five litres using a small experimental refinery and is hoping to move up to a much larger production facility within two years that will be capable of producing one ton of petrol every day."It sounds too good to be true, but it is true," said energy and environment head Tim Fox of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in London. "They are doing it and I've been up there myself and seen it. The innovation is that they have made it happen as a process."
Being able to capture carbon dioxide from the air, and effectively remove the principal industrial greenhouse gas resulting from the burning of fossil fuels such as oil and coal, has been the holy grail of the emerging green economy.
