A man in Nashville, Tennessee drove his car in to a building while trying to enter a 'time portal'.
The 40-year-old, who had apparently believed that driving his Dodge Challenger at high speed would enable him to jump to a different time period like the DeLorean in the Back to the Future movies, was uninjured when police arrived at the scene of the incident on Sunday morning.

Fortunately nobody was hurt however the store will require some significant repair work.

The man in question, who was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol, ended up being cited for careless driving and has since been sent to a local hospital for psychiatric evaluation.

Obviously he had not thought this through. I mean, who tries to time travel without a Delorean and no flux capacitor?? Ditto

How do some people make it to adulthood I was thinking the same thing. Stupidity like that should have killed him a long time ago.

Maybe his system didn't generate enough gigawatts. Well, duh! The only thing that can generate that amount of gigawatts is a bolt of lightning! At least he should have waited for a storm to take place!

Love that line...."Police said the driver has been taken to hospital for evaluation", really? You don't say.... Makes you wonder if he jumped from the car shouting "1.21 GIGAWATS!"
