Shopper discovers a dead body in her truck

Image: AI-generated (Midjourney) The woman, whose name has not been disclosed, undoubtedly got the fright of her life when she returned from the shops to discover that there was a corpse in the back of her truck.

The incident, which occurred in Newfane, Niagara County, has prompted a police investigation.

The woman did not recognize the dead man and it is unclear if he had been dumped there by someone else or if he had climbed on to the truck on his own accord and died.

The deceased man has been described as possibly Hispanic, around 5ft 8in and 40-50 years old.

He was wearing jeans and a light-colored shirt.

The Niagara Sheriff's Office has since sent the body for a post-mortem examination.
