Insane show sees robots perform complex Kung Fu routine in China

A remarkable stage performance has this week highlighted just how far robots have come over the last few years.
It wasn't that long ago that a humanoid robot capable of standing up and walking around without clumsily falling over was something of an achievement.

Now, in just a few short years, we've seen robots capable of climbing up stairs, undertaking household tasks and even - as evidenced by this recent performance in China - performing martial arts.

Featuring multiple robots developed by Unitree Robotics, the remarkable show saw human performers working together with the machines to create a breathtaking and unique spectacle.
What was particularly impressive was how fluid the robots moved, mimicking their human counterparts more closely than we've ever seen up until now.

Their capabilities are so sophisticated in fact that you'd be forgiven for thinking that the video was fake, but the performance was very much the real deal.

The event itself, which took place in Beijing, showcased robots from four different companies.
