Could the infamous Majestic-12 papers have been real all along?

Documents pertaining to a shadowy UFO organization known as Majestic-12 may hold more merit than previously thought.
The idea that there could be a clandestine group of government officials, military leaders and scientists set up in secret to investigate UFOs and alien visitation might seem like something straight out of The X-Files, yet rumors of such an organization have persisted for years.

Back in the 1980s, a trove of documents pertaining to Majestic-12 began circulating around, leading to suggestions that the group had been set up in 1947 by U.S. President Harry S. Truman.

The entire thing was later declared to be a hoax by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, yet rumors continue to persist, with some still believing that Majestic-12 was in fact the real deal.

Recently, new claims began to circulate suggesting that correlations have been discovered between the file numbers and administrative stamps on the original documents and genuine CIA case files from the 1940s and 1950s that have since been declassified and released to the public.

Trouble is, the investigator who came to this conclusion has decided to remain anonymous.
According to reports, the only connection to him is UFO researcher Ryan Wood who provided physical copies of the original Majestic-12 files from the 1980s.

"He's doing a great job," Wood told The Daily Mail.

"He's digging in the right spots and doing a good job of the historical research. It's definitely on point and logical, fair and highly credible."

As things stand, even if there are file numbers and stamps in the Majestic-12 files which match those of genuine CIA documents, it doesn't mean that those files and what's claimed inside them are real.

We still also lack any other tangible evidence that might help to prove their legitimacy.

Well, unfortunately, this leads nowhere. But the article was a very interesting read, I remember reading about this many years ago and wondering if it could possibly be true.

Agreed. Matching a few file numbers or stamps proves nothing. Hoaxers routinely copy formatting from real documents to make fakes look authentic. If the only person claiming this "discovery" is anonymous and the conclusion is being promoted by a UFO researcher who already believes the story, that is not evidence, it is just circular hype. The Majestic12 papers have already failed multiple forensic and historical checks, and the FBI labeled them bogus decades ago. Finding a stamp that resembles one used in real CIA files does not magically turn a known hoax into a secret alien program.

Hi, GR.  Here's how I look at it: It makes more sense that such an organization existed than not. You had a brand new entity flying into US airspace,  they MUST be looking at these unknown flying machines, as they are an existential threat. And they have to take that threat seriously.

You see here's my problem, I'm from Missouri and you have to show me. And when I say, show me, I mean, there must be physical evidence that proves that the scientific existence of extraterrestrial craft is real. I personally don't believe that extraterrestrials have ever visited the Earth. But I do believe that it's theoretically possible that some of the UAPs are unmanned extraterrestrial drones. In my opinion that would not be outside the realm of possibility. But even with that said, we would have to shoot one down and scientifically, examine it and to my knowledge which is limited that has... [More]

It is certainly Ok for a citizen to have such an opinion, but not if you are in charge of the nation, or in charge of keeping Americans safe from all invaders. Why take a chance, when such an organization as Majestic 12 can be assembled for short money? After the Battle of LA incident, I'm sure the US military knew for sure, that such things as UFO's existed.  Good chatting, GR 6

Thank you very much for your thoughts on the subject, my friend

The Majestic 12 papers are hoaxes, and the Battle of Los Angeles was just a wartime false alarm. And for the gazillionth time, we have always "known about UFOs" - the term literally just means unidentified flying object. Unidentified doesnt mean alien.
