Residents have been asked to be on the lookout for mysterious packets of seeds being sent to them through the mail.
A few years ago, we reported on the mystery of residents in several US states - including Washington, Utah and Virginia - being sent unidentified packets of seeds in the mail.
The phenomena appeared again last year when residents in Texas were sent the same thing.
Now, according to reports, the state of Delaware seems to have become the latest target.
The Delaware Department of Agriculture has moved to dissuade residents from opening or planting the seeds, citing risks to the local agriculture and environment.
The response echoes that seen during previous waves, with local authorities concerned that the packets may contain seeds of invasive plant species that could prove highly damaging.
The question is - who is sending these packets and for what purpose ?
"These are being dropshipped straight from China to the consumer," Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller said back in 2025.
"We think they have ordered from Temu. It's how they got their address. They all seem to have a link that they've ordered something from China, but they didn't order these seeds."
"They're coming in a completely different shipment."
Suffice to say - if you happen to receive any mysterious seeds in the post - do not open them.
