A compilation of UFO records and data pertaining to the phenomenon is currently being put together for release.
Trump's long-awaited UFO documents may have been released as promised, but there is a snag - a lot of the files lack context, while the video clips are missing a lot of relevant metadata.
This means that much of these records are essentially being offered in a vacuum, without sufficient information about the circumstances surrounding them.
A clip of a 'strange object over the Middle-East', for example, is rather limited in its significance without knowing the specific details of the story behind it.
Now, according to investigative journalist George Knapp, the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) has started the process of compiling together additional documents dating back to 2007.
This is being done through a project known as the Advanced Aerospace Weapon Systems Applications Program (AAWSAP).
It is hoped that the files will help to fill in the gaps present in Trump's UFO file dumps.
"One of the main criticisms of the pursue data dumps is that there's no context," said Colm Kelleher who worked on the program alongside Robert Bigelow.
"I mean, there is absolutely no context. You've got these videos that have no metadata. Someone went to the trouble to take it out before they released."
"Getting a whole bunch of raw data dumped into the population is not very useful as time goes on."
As for when the new files will be released, however, that still remains unclear.
