Channel guilty of hypnotising viewers

Australia's Channel Nine has been found guilty by the Australian Communications and Media Authority of attempting to hypnotise its viewers during a programme demonstrating a weight loss process involving hypnotism.
The communications watchdog has found Channel Nine breached the TV Code of Practice in a stunt that aimed to hypnotise viewers.

I thought people generally decided subliminal advertising wasn't really effective, but still unethical, but also easy to spot.
