Baby mammoth reveals its secrets

Scientists studying the amazingly well preserved 40,000 year-old remains of a baby mammoth known as Lyuba that was found in Siberia have said that it may be possible to retrieve DNA from the body.
A baby woolly mammoth that died after being sucked into a muddy river bed 40,000 years ago has revealed more prehistoric secrets of how the species survived in its icy habitat.
