Airbag for cyclists created

Designers have come up with an airbag that can protect a cyclist during an accident.
The airbag deploys just seconds before the cyclist hits their head either off the ground or off a vehicle that has hit them, it isn't clear however if the system will be favoured by safety campaigners due to the effectiveness of helmets.
The clever invention is worn round the neck like a scarf and covers the head moments after the cyclist is clipped by a car and seconds before they hit the ground.
