DNA building blocks found in meteorites

Scientists have confirmed that components of DNA have been found in meteorites from space.
The discovery significantly forwards the idea that the building blocks of life arrived on Earth from elsewhere and that these components could be commonplace throughout the universe. "Finding nucleobase compounds not typically found in Earth's biochemistry strongly supports an extraterrestrial origin," says study co-author Jim Cleaves.
Past research had revealed a range of building blocks of life in meteorites, such as the amino acids that make up proteins. Space rocks just like these may have been a vital source of the organic compounds that gave rise to life on Earth.

Lol, fair enough ^^ Well since we are all born of the stars we all have something in common and that will show. We will fight for the human race unless the aliens are also human then it`s just run of the mill bs

I have no doubt, if we, (meaning every human, from all walks of life) are threatened, we'd fight a good fight. Its just our nature. We will never be a candle that would be extinquished easily. We matter, I don't care what anyone says We matter. Our current governments may, at times try to seperate us, but we will always be, together, Human. And that is all that matters.

Ok getting off topic here if an alien race came here, we would be toast befor we saw it comming if they were hostile. We can slam a probe into an asteroid billions of miles away. I bet they could slam us with something far wors... [More]

Hey xXHellkittiesXx, well said. I agree. If confronted I tend to think we'd all fight together for Humanity.

Thanks for the interesting article Kali... This discovery is obviously very good evidence pointing to the validity of the panspermia theory. Imo though, it doesn't provide any clues as to whether life on Earth arose on it's own or through exogenesis (although if statistics would actually exist on this topic, it would probably sway the numbers a little more towards the exogenesis side). After all, if "original life" could arise somewhere in the past, then what would prevent it from arising again in a different time and place without the aid of panspermia?

I don't believe we are proof of aliens, or aliens ourselves, life just takes hold whenever applicable. This is now our planet and I'm willing to fight for it I like your attitude!
