66th anniversary of the Roswell incident

Posted on Monday, 8 July, 2013 | Comment icon 77 comments

Today marks precisely 66 years since the infamous UFO crash took place at Roswell, New Mexico.

For years the incident has been hailed as one of the most important events in Ufology and is often regarded as one of the earliest alleged examples of the US government covering up evidence of extraterrestrial visitation. Press reports at the time described how a 'flying disk' had crash-landed in the area and that debris and bodies had been recovered from the site.

Despite a variety of witness testimonies the exact nature of what happened that day remains unclear. Officially, the object that crashed was a 'weather balloon' and the alien bodies were 'crash-test dummies'. Unofficially, the stories from servicemen who were sworn to secrecy for decades suggests that the incident was anything but that.

Whether the actual series of events that took place in Roswell that day will ever be fully revealed, however, remains to be seen.

"Conspiracy theorists have claimed that US military had captured a crashed alien aircraft outside Roswell in July 1947, but authorities insisted that the incident merely involved the recovery of debris from a top secret surveillance balloon."

I think Marcel could tell the difference between a balloon and a flying disk. I think its a government cover up. I wouldn't be surprised to find some of our latest and greatest isn't based on UFO technology. That's the only reason I think they wanted to cover it up. Didn't want the Soviets to find out about it. I can understand that but why not now tell the truth. They apparently gave this old guy a "Green Light" to spill the beans about President Eisenhower. In 1958 MJ-12 told Ike "We don't report to you." They apparently gave this old guy a "Green Light" to spill the beans about President Eisenhower. In 1958 MJ-12 told Ike "We don't report to you." The guy in the video says he worked for Ike and flew to Area 51 and drove over to S4 to see the Domain Scouts they have stored there. The video has over 110,000 views so far. Is - everybody - lying? I doin't think it need be completely implauisble that the President wouldn't be in on everything that the Military/Intelligence people know. I doin't think it need be completely implauisble that the President wouldn't be in on everything that the Military/Intelligence people know. Presidents are only in office for eight years at most, after all, and then they're off to sell books and appear on TV. It would hardly make sense to let them in on the most deeply held secrets, even someone like Ike, who had more intregrity than most holders of the office since. Good point. Presidents come and go. MJ-12 stays !

Good point. Presidents come and go. MJ-12 stays ! You are aware that MJ-12 is most assuredly a fabrication, right? Cheers, Badeskov

let us assume for a moment something did crash 66 years ago. what evidence is there that we took something and spent yeas fiddling with it and discovering amaxing innovations? where is the technology? the something that literally came out of nowhere with no developmental progression from something less advanced?

If someone says memory metal I'll....I'll... Well I'll probably just shake my head in dismay... it isn't worth the possible aneurysm.

Well, there's this memory metal stuff. No, the point is that all the technology has been used for the secret Program, the one that's led to us having fleets of interstellar spacecraft and bases on the Mooon that are, of course, Secret.

Is - everybody - lying? . this seems to be quite a frequent statement from you TCX. you say the same thing about the video of "biospheres" that there's 1.5m views of the video, "and they can't all be lying!!" only one person lied. the poster of the original video. you seem to think that the 1.5m people who viewed it are all saying "yeah, that's DEFINITELY a biosphere" when they're not, they simply viewed a video on youtub...
