Newly released CIA documents have acknowledged the secretive military base for the first time.
Long thought to be a hotbed for black projects, military testing and possibly even the location of captured UFOs, Area 51 in Nevada is often considered to be the most infamous secret base in the world. Now however the veil has been formally lifted thanks to newly released CIA documents that confirm the base's existence and provide details of what went on there.

According to the files, the base was used primarily as a testing ground for projects including the U-2 and OXCART aerial surveillance programs. While there's no mention extraterrestrial research or crashed UFOs being studied at the base, many believe this to be just the first step in a slew of document releases detailing what else the government has been doing there over the years.[!gad]Long thought to be a hotbed for black projects, military testing and possibly even the location of captured UFOs, Area 51 in Nevada is often considered to be the most infamous secret base in the world. Area 51 has long been a topic of fascination for conspiracy theorists and paranormal enthusiasts, but newly released CIA documents officially acknowledge the site and suggest that the area served a far less remarkable purpose than many had supposed.

It's always existed as an airbase for experimental aircraft.

It's always existed as an airbase for experimental aircraft. THAT is the bottom line. It is, or was, a secret USAF test facility, Nothing more. No "aliens", sorry. Some other countries have similar secret facilities for experimental military aircraft, rockets, etc...

Richelson told CNN he believes this could signal a dramatic change in the government's willingness to declassify information about the famed base, meaning even more information could come out about Area 51 in the future. Does this mean we might finally find out what happened to Richard Dreyfuss in "close encounters..." after he scooted off with the greys?

So now what else can we expect to hear, and what else is not yet to become revealed ? Haven't we waited long enough for the real truth to surface or is that too complicated and already too entangled with lies and deceptions to retrace those steps ? Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.

So now what else can we expect to hear, and what else is not yet to become revealed ? WRT what? Haven't we waited long enough for the real truth to surface or is that too complicated and already too entangled with lies and deceptions to retrace those steps? Area 51 was a top secret military testing facility. There's a reason why the military had high level security in and around it. Do you understand what top secret means? Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive. Can you tell us why you think the military kept the facility secret for this long? Even af... [More]

The US government had to come clean and opened up to the existence of Area 51...when you have Soviet spy satellite photos of the "nonexistent" base, while US citizens are warned to stay away and not enter the base out of threat of guards' gunfire, tell me the citizens' right to know was infringed (and I say it was). Good thing the US government shutdown ended, because their congress' approval rating is a stunningly low 5 percent (yes, single digits). Area 51 is an example of the low trust we have in congress and our government who we elect out of our trust to protect and serve us. The high lev... [More]

They are never going to officially let any legit info, like I dont know the truth come out about area 51 or any other so called secret facility or program. Sure they will tell us a thing or two like secret aircraft testing or a secret satellite, because this appeases both sides. One side can say "See i told you they were hiding something."To which the others will reply "Yeah but its not aliens or ufo's." Think about it they control everything the news and media.Nothing at all comes out "Officially" Unless they want it too. Only when theres a leak or disgruntled employee or a source like anothe... Well it is there so it is a no-brainer that they should admit it exists lol, it is natural for the government to be cagey over their most secret flight testing and development installation, UFO connection or not.....And didn't Barrack Obama openly mention Area 51 in a speech? Making him the first president to actually mention the facility, that fact he eluded to in his speech also?
