The clients in the case requested an anonymous status, so all names in this report are changed to protect the clients’ identities. Paranormal experiences reported by the clients include the sighting of apparitions,” the children having severe nightmares, objects being moved or disappearing without explanation; the sudden appearance of knives and screwdrivers in odd locations throughout the home, and one child in the family has had repeated experiences with what she calls an “old hag.”

Client Background:
The family of six has lived at the current location for a period of three years; when interviewed, they did not know the actual age of the location. The family consists of two adults, two girls, and two boys. They reside in a two family unit on the bottom floor: the unit has eight rooms in all including a kitchen, living room, laundry room, a dining room, a bathroom, and three bedrooms. Renovations are ongoing at the location; the bathroom ceiling has collapsed two times in the past year, each time due to water damage. The bathroom was repaired three times in all: in February, August, and September of this year due to water leakage coming from upstairs.
Karen is 34, Victor is 35, the twins Raymond and Julia are 12, Rebecca is 11, and Tyler is 10. The home has been repeatedly blessed by a pastor who, at one time frequented the location. The pastor has not returned to the location in the past year. Karen reports no increase in paranormal activity when the home was blessed. A Wiccan Priestess has also used consecrated Sea Salt to form a protective ring around the bed’s belonging to the children, who refuse to sleep unless the salt has been placed around each bed. Otherwise, the home has not been spiritually cleansed. Karen and Victor knew of very little history in association with the site, but they did report a year prior to our visit, there was an armed robbery that occurred in the upstairs of the location. The home is situated near a large body of water, and there are underground tunnels in the area.
The family has not contacted any group prior to contacting our group, and no media has been involved in the case. Karen has told friends, family, and associates about the events in the location, many of which respond with disbelief. Victor and Karen express a sense of helplessness and increased stress due to the events that are happening in the home.
Victor is a Methodist, Karen is Catholic, and the children are Presbyterian: no one the family has recently converted from another religion. The couple illustrate an interest in the paranormal; they have watched The Atlantic Paranormal Society on television and they used to listen into the George Noory Radio Show online. Three years ago, an Ouija board was used at the location without any result produced; the board was used by people living at the location, who later moved out.
Interview
Karen and Victor report the location has been owned by at least two previous owners. When asked whether they knew anything about the history of the location or not, Karen explained the location was a dentist’s office at one time, but that there was no other information about the location offered when she conducted her research.
Karen and Victor report that two out of the four children that they have report frequent nightmares. Raymond and Julia, the twin 12 year olds report having no nightmares, but Rebecca, the 11 year old girl and Tyler the 10 year old boy both report having nightmares. Rebecca has nightmares so disturbing that she awakens shaking and crying, and Raymond follows a similar pattern of behaviors each evening; the dreams are often about someone harming them or their family members. The dreams are commonly violent involving armed intruders coming in through the windows of the home or the intruders making an attempt to kill the family. Karen reports that up until our visit the two youngest children were having nightmares every night, unless the Wiccan Priestess that frequents the location puts salt around each bed: only then do they sleep soundly through the night.
Rebecca told her parents that she saw the apparition of a young girl named “Lillian” who asked Rebecca where the dentist went (Note: the child knew that the location was formerly a dentist’s office before this occurrence.). In September 2011, while walking through the house, Rebecca reported seeing a man sitting out in the kitchen at the kitchen table. Rebecca told her mother that the man she saw reminded her of her grandfather, and that he told her to “Come sit on my lap,” but the child told the man that she could not. The child was afraid to go any further and she turned around and went into the living room. Following this event, Karen gave Rebecca a blessed Virgin Mary medallion and the child continues to wear the medallion for protection. The child also continues to carry stones that were given to her by a Wiccan Priestess for protection. The items helped the child to feel more secure in her current environment, but she still had lingering fears.
Since the age of four, Rebecca has repeatedly told her mother about an encounter with an “old hag.” She has told her mother that she has had dreams of a very old woman sucking the life out of her; in each encounter, “the woman wears a white outfit that is ripped. She is dirty; she has green teeth, long, nasty fingernails, and scraggly hair; Rebecca told me she would fly in through the window and steal her breath.” Sometimes the little girl would hear a “crazy laugh” or “cackle” just before the appearance of the old woman. After each encounter, Rebecca’s parents had to put plastic on the window, and check it every night for months so the child would go to sleep. Rebecca had another “old hag” encounter a couple of months prior to our visit at the new location. The child told Karen, “Mom, that lady’s back.”
One time, at the age of seven or eight, while sleeping over at her grandmother’s home, Rebecca woke up in the middle of the night. She reported to her mother that she saw a little girl standing at the end of her bed. The girl had a white dress on, and wore a pick bow. She told her mother that there were two men fighting over the little girl, that they would not stop fighting, and that the incident prevented her from going back to sleep.
When Victor cleaned out an apartment next door to the location, he discovered a book and the landlord told Victor he could keep it. One day, Rebecca looked through the book and freaked out. She said, “Mom, that’s the girl.” Karen looked at the picture and there was an image of an old hag.
Karen reports an ongoing issue with unexplained appearance of knives. The knives are found everywhere throughout the home, and when the children are questioned they adamantly deny having touched them. Knives have been found in the couch, behind the toilet, and under the heater. They also find screwdrivers in bizarre locations; they have absolutely no explanation as to why the knives and screwdrivers appear throughout the location. Other strange objects have been found in the home; for example, one time Karen found a garnet and sapphire ring, but she cannot explain where the ring came from.
Karen told us that a five year old little girl that formerly resided in the upstairs location (approximately one year before our visit to the location) repeatedly conveyed to her that there was a “bloody woman living in the bathtub,” in the upstairs apartment. Karen and Victor were friends with the family living upstairs, and Karen would often talk with Emily (the little girl’s mother) about how objects in her home would seemingly disappear and reappear elsewhere in the home, “I would put things down and they would somehow be moved.” When these incidents occurred, Karen would question herself, “Am I going crazy,” or “Did I put that there,” in an attempt to rationalize the unexplained movement of objects in the home. During their discussions, Emily revealed how her daughter refused to spend any time in the bathroom without the door being open; the little girl had also conveyed to her mother that there is “a bloody woman in the bathtub.” Karen explained that once the family upstairs moved out, the little girl no longer had any fear of being in the bathroom alone in their new home.
Karen’s son Tyler doesn’t report seeing spirits, but he reports feeling or sensing them. Tyler has had precognitive dreams; while his mother was out with a friend for a drive to the store, the child had a dream that his mother was in a car that blew up while on the way to the store. This dream occurred right around the same time that Karen and her friend experienced significant car problems: the vehicle blew a power steering hose. The twins, Raymond and Julia seemingly share psychic abilities: “When one child is sick, the other child will develop a fever, and Raymond knows when Julia needs him.”
Julia had an imaginary friend when she was about three or four years of age. Julia told her mother that the imaginary friend’s name was “Tom.” Julia always referred to this imaginary friend as “My friend Tom.” One day, Karen said to Julia, “Doesn’t Tom’s mom miss him, doesn’t he have to go home?” Julia replied, “Mom, Tom’s an adult.” She described Tom, and his description fit the description of Karen’s father to the letter, right down to the fishing hat with the fishing hooks in it that he always wore. Even more eerie is the fact that Karen’s grandfather was named Tom. Surprisingly, the child had never seen a picture of him because Karen does not have one.
Karen told us that most of the unusual activity occurs in Rebecca’s room. Karen conveyed to us that the children would be in a great mood when they get out of school, but that when they return home they become irritable and moody. Both parents state “It’s like a switch being turned on…they become angry…they continuously fight when they get home from school.”
As mentioned earlier, several children experience nightmares. All of the children have experienced night terrors, and Tyler, the 10 year old has been seen “fighting in his sleep” as he pounded on his pillow. All of the children talk in their sleep. Karen reports that there have been instances where it was next to impossible to wake Victor up, which is unusual because he is usually easy to wake. No one in the family reports having “thoughts that are not their own, hearing strange sounds, whispering, murmuring, or other paranormal sounds. However, sometimes Karen hears her name called out, only to find that no one is at the location with her or that no one called out to her.
Karen has smelled the scent of Vanilla in the home without an explainable source for the scent. She told us that her grandmother always wore Vanilla scents. On other occasions, the couple report smelling burn wood, burnt rubber, and burnt plastic. They have also experienced a number of electrical problems; the television goes on by itself; the lights turn on without aid; the blow dryer grounded out, light bulbs blow out frequently, and batteries drain rapidly. The family has several cats, some of which, on occasion, seem to be looking at something unseen.
Karen and Victor report the a “lost sense of time” when they are in the apartment. Sometimes they wonder ‘where did the day go,” or sometimes the walk into a room and cannot remember what they walked into the room for. The couple asserts that such instances are very likely due to mundane causes or simple short memory lapses. Dramatic temperature changes have been noted by the couple, particularly in the pantry area of the home where the room temperature seems to go from hot to cold.
The couple reports the feeling of being watched by something unseen. They report seeing black shadows out of the corner of their eye, and shadow people. They also report getting unusual phone calls where there is nothing but static on the end of the line.
Brief History of the Location:
Our research reveals that the present home at the location was built in the late 1950s, and that another building existed on the site prior to the establishment of the current home. We have confirmed that the former building was the site of a dentist’s office, opened in the 1920s. We also confirmed that the home was owned by at least two owners; the current owner of the location purchased the residence in 2006.
Historical research reveals that in 2007 there was a fire on the same side of the street as the present location, several houses down; the fire occurred due to a candle being left unattended during a power outage. There is more historical information that our team has uncovered in relation to this case, but it cannot be revealed, otherwise it will give significant clues to where the home and family is located.

EVP Readings:
Several EVPs were captured in association with this case, ranging from class A to class C. Four class A EVPs were captured. While conducting EVPs, the investigator asks “Do you know where you are?” After a few moments of silence, a class A EVP appears: it sounds like a young male’s voice clearly stating “My room.” Another class A EVP appears during the interviews with the client. The investigator asks another investigator what time it is so that the time can be documented. About a split second before the investigator says “8:40” two EVP voices appear in unison, clearly stating “10:40.”
During the interview with the clients, two Class A EVPs appear. In the first, two investigators are discussing precognitive dreams. An EVP voice appears saying “Nice topic people.” In the second Class A sample, as the client talks about how the pastor used to bless the home, a nasty, aggressive voice seems to speak rapidly and partially talks over the client by hissing “He prays for us.”
During a moment of silence while collecting EVP samples, a class B EVP appears: a voice can be heard saying “Ghost spirit…I hate that.”
Four class C EVPs are captured. The first is in answer to the investigator’s question “ When you were alive, were you male or female.” A disembodied voice responds with “I was a…female.”
The second Class C EVP appears after an investigator questions the time. A sing-songy EVP appears, "You're not continuing."
The third Class C sample is in response to the question “Are you angry.” An EVP voice responds with, “I’m angry for …(inaudible)… I’m patient.”
The final Class C sample collected is in response to the question, “Are you happy or sad?” The EVP voice response is, ““I’m angry (bang, bang), the odds will get…”.

EMF Readings
A positive, audible EMF reading was captured in one of the children’s bedrooms, just over the child’s bed. No mundane source was identified for the reading. The tool used to capture the reading converts EMF to an audible sound wave that can be heard through headphones.

Temperature Fluctuations:
At 7:25 pm, a temperature fluctuation was noted in the master bedroom of the home. The digital thermometer fluctuated from a base reading of 24 degrees Celsius to 25 degrees Celsius. (Base reading of 75.2 degrees to 77 degrees Fahrenheit.)
At 7:30 pm, in the living room of the home, a temperature fluctuation was noted. The thermometer fluctuated from a base reading 23 degrees Celsius to 24 degrees Celsius. (Base reading of 73.4 degrees to 75.2 degrees Fahrenheit).
At 7:32 pm, a temperature fluctuation was noted in the girl’s bedroom; the thermometer fluctuated from a base reading 21 degrees to 22 degrees Celsius. (Base reading of 69.8 degrees to 71.6 degrees Fahrenheit.)
At 7:34 pm, a temperature fluctuation was noted in the boy’s bedroom; the thermometer fluctuated from a base reading 21 to 22 degrees Celsius. (Base reading of 69.8 to 71.6 degrees Fahrenheit.)
At 7:38 pm, a temperature fluctuation was noted in the kitchen of the location; this room proved to have the highest degree of fluctuation. The base temperature moved from a base reading 23 degrees Celsius to 26 degrees Celsius. The reading then returned to 23 degrees Celsius after a few moments. It then dropped down to 19 degrees Celsius. After a few moments the temperature when up one more degree to 20 degrees Celsius. (The base reading was 73.4 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperature then fluctuated to 78.8 degrees and later returned to 73.4 degrees Fahrenheit, before dropping to 66.2 degrees and increasing slightly to 68 degrees Fahrenheit.)
Pendulum Readings:
7:05 pm A pendulum reading in the living room begins to spin widdershins, suggestive of negative energies.
At 7:12 pm, a pendulum reading in the kitchen begins to spin widdershins, suggestive of negative energies.
At 7:15 pm, a pendulum reading in the kitchen begins to spin widdershins, suggestive of negative energies.
At 7:17 pm, a pendulum reading over the sink in the kitchen begins to spin deosil, suggestive of positive energies.
At 7:40 pm, a pendulum reading in the kitchen begins to spin widdershins, suggestive of negative energies. Then, the investigator conducting pendulum readings again proceeded to move from room to room in the home. In every room, the pendulum began swinging in a widdershins direction, suggestive of negative energies.
Psychic Artistry and Impressions:
At 7:05 pm, our psychic artist, Angela Kaufman, senses the presence of a grey-haired older woman in the dark. She also senses the presence of an unidentified male spirit.
At 7:15 pm, Angela sensed the spirit of an elderly, Caucasian woman with white hair. She explains in her notes that “this is not the same lady she first sensed when entering the location, and that the woman is 'mean-spirited.'” At the time, our artist did not know of the “old hag” that one of the children reported seeing. She also sensed an “illness brought on from the damp, like pneumonia; she could feel and sense “chest congestion,” despite the fact that she was physically in good health herself. She did not know at the time that, in the late 1880s, a butcher residing across the street from the location died of tuberculosis or consumption.
At 7:40 pm, an investigator begins to feel nauseous for no physically explainable reason.
At 7:20 pm, in the front bedroom of the location, our Psychic Artist Angela Kaufman sensed the spirit of a young boy, grade school age, wearing a black uniform.
At 7:25 pm, our psychic artist notes that she got the “impression of the death of baby or miscarriage.” She also notes that she “got the impression of ‘burns’ – not a house fire, but ‘burns.”
At 7:25 pm, one of our investigators sensed the presence of a small child, a girl, with blond curly hair, and an old blue dress. The investigator did not know at the time that one of the children has reported seeing a young girl at the foot of the bed when visiting the home of her grandmother.
At 7:35 pm, our psychic artist senses the presence of “a man in a “sailor’s” military uniform.
At 7:50 pm, Angela reports having a cold sensation near her left hand and she “got the impression things ‘quieted down’ at the location because of our presence.
Angela also reports that when she was in the bedroom located nearest to the kitchen, that “one of the girls living there was having nightmares. She notes “she wakes up crying and she sleeps in the bed by the door. I saw a young child screaming – distress, not anger.” In regard to the nightmares, Angela did not know at the time that several of the children were experiencing nightmares on a consistent basis or that they were waking up extremely frightened and distressed.
She then notes that in a separate incident in the same room she senses “someone’s hand being burned with an iron.” At the same time she notes that she senses “smoke.” She did not know at the time that there was a major fire nearby the location in 2007, nor did she know that a man was severely burned in that fire, who suffered from smoke inhalation and who sustained significant burns to the face. The fire was significant enough to force a business to close its doors, and anyone living in the location to relocate.

Issues with Equipment:
While recording the interview with the clients, the digital recorder temporarily failed to operate, despite the fact that new batteries were placed into the recorder. After a few moments, we got the recorder to work.
Conclusion: Interactive Haunting.
Despite the lack of photographs associated with this case, the positive, interactive EVPs, the personal experiences of every family member in the home, the positive EMF findings, and the impressions offered by our psychic artist have led us to confirm that the location is haunted. We conducted a cleansing at the location, and the clients have had no further reports of paranormal activity. We will remain in contact with the family and provide further assistance, if required.

Even more eerie is the fact that Karen’s grandfather was named Tom. Surprisingly, the child had never seen a picture of him because Karen does not have one.
Karen told us that most of the unusual activity occurs in Rebecca’s room. Karen conveyed to us that the children would be in a great mood when they get out of school, but that when they return home they become irritable and moody. Both parents state “It’s like a switch being turned on…they become angry…they continuously fight when they get home from school.”
As mentioned earlier, several children experience nightmares. All of the children have experienced night terrors, and Tyler, the 10 year old has been seen “fighting in his sleep” as he pounded on his pillow. All of the children talk in their sleep. Karen reports that there have been instances where it was next to impossible to wake Victor up, which is unusual because he is usually easy to wake. No one in the family reports having “thoughts that are not their own, hearing strange sounds, whispering, murmuring, or other paranormal sounds. However, sometimes Karen hears her name called out, only to find that no one is at the location with her or that no one called out to her.
Karen has smelled the scent of Vanilla in the home without an explainable source for the scent. She told us that her grandmother always wore Vanilla scents. On other occasions, the couple report smelling burn wood, burnt rubber, and burnt plastic. They have also experienced a number of electrical problems; the television goes on by itself; the lights turn on without aid; the blow dryer grounded out, light bulbs blow out frequently, and batteries drain rapidly. The family has several cats, some of which, on occasion, seem to be looking at something unseen.
Karen and Victor report the a “lost sense of time” when they are in the apartment. Sometimes they wonder ‘where did the day go,” or sometimes the walk into a room and cannot remember what they walked into the room for. The couple asserts that such instances are very likely due to mundane causes or simple short memory lapses. Dramatic temperature changes have been noted by the couple, particularly in the pantry area of the home where the room temperature seems to go from hot to cold.
The couple reports the feeling of being watched by something unseen. They report seeing black shadows out of the corner of their eye, and shadow people. They also report getting unusual phone calls where there is nothing but static on the end of the line.
Brief History of the Location:
Our research reveals that the present home at the location was built in the late 1950s, and that another building existed on the site prior to the establishment of the current home. We have confirmed that the former building was the site of a dentist’s office, opened in the 1920s. We also confirmed that the home was owned by at least two owners; the current owner of the location purchased the residence in 2006.
Historical research reveals that in 2007 there was a fire on the same side of the street as the present location, several houses down; the fire occurred due to a candle being left unattended during a power outage. There is more historical information that our team has uncovered in relation to this case, but it cannot be revealed, otherwise it will give significant clues to where the home and family is located.

Several EVPs were captured in association with this case, ranging from class A to class C. Four class A EVPs were captured. While conducting EVPs, the investigator asks “Do you know where you are?” After a few moments of silence, a class A EVP appears: it sounds like a young male’s voice clearly stating “My room.” Another class A EVP appears during the interviews with the client. The investigator asks another investigator what time it is so that the time can be documented. About a split second before the investigator says “8:40” two EVP voices appear in unison, clearly stating “10:40.”
During the interview with the clients, two Class A EVPs appear. In the first, two investigators are discussing precognitive dreams. An EVP voice appears saying “Nice topic people.” In the second Class A sample, as the client talks about how the pastor used to bless the home, a nasty, aggressive voice seems to speak rapidly and partially talks over the client by hissing “He prays for us.”
During a moment of silence while collecting EVP samples, a class B EVP appears: a voice can be heard saying “Ghost spirit…I hate that.”
Four class C EVPs are captured. The first is in answer to the investigator’s question “ When you were alive, were you male or female.” A disembodied voice responds with “I was a…female.”
The second Class C EVP appears after an investigator questions the time. A sing-songy EVP appears, "You're not continuing."
The third Class C sample is in response to the question “Are you angry.” An EVP voice responds with, “I’m angry for …(inaudible)… I’m patient.”

At 7:30 pm, in the living room of the home, a temperature fluctuation was noted. The thermometer fluctuated from a base reading 23 degrees Celsius to 24 degrees Celsius. (Base reading of 73.4 degrees to 75.2 degrees Fahrenheit).
At 7:32 pm, a temperature fluctuation was noted in the girl’s bedroom; the thermometer fluctuated from a base reading 21 degrees to 22 degrees Celsius. (Base reading of 69.8 degrees to 71.6 degrees Fahrenheit.)

The base temperature moved from a base reading 23 degrees Celsius to 26 degrees Celsius. The reading then returned to 23 degrees Celsius after a few moments. It then dropped down to 19 degrees Celsius. After a few moments the temperature when up one more degree to 20 degrees Celsius. (The base reading was 73.4 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperature then fluctuated to 78.8 degrees and later returned to 73.4 degrees Fahrenheit, before dropping to 66.2 degrees and increasing slightly to 68 degrees Fahrenheit.)
Pendulum Readings:
7:05 pm A pendulum reading in the living room begins to spin widdershins, suggestive of negative energies.

Psychic Artistry and Impressions:
At 7:05 pm, our psychic artist, Angela Kaufman, senses the presence of a grey-haired older woman in the dark. She also senses the presence of an unidentified male spirit.
At 7:15 pm, Angela sensed the spirit of an elderly, Caucasian woman with white hair. She explains in her notes that “this is not the same lady she first sensed when entering the location, and that the woman is 'mean-spirited.'” At the time, our artist did not know of the “old hag” that one of the children reported seeing. She also sensed an “illness brought on from the damp, like pneumonia; she could feel and sense “chest congestion,” despite the fact that she was physically in good health herself. She did not know at the time that, in the late 1880s, a butcher residing across the street from the location died of tuberculosis or consumption.
At 7:40 pm, an investigator begins to feel nauseous for no physically explainable reason.
At 7:20 pm, in the front bedroom of the location, our Psychic Artist Angela Kaufman sensed the spirit of a young boy, grade school age, wearing a black uniform.
At 7:25 pm, our psychic artist notes that she got the “impression of the death of baby or miscarriage.” She also notes that she “got the impression of ‘burns’ – not a house fire, but ‘burns.”
At 7:25 pm, one of our investigators sensed the presence of a small child, a girl, with blond curly hair, and an old blue dress. The investigator did not know at the time that one of the children has reported seeing a young girl at the foot of the bed when visiting the home of her grandmother.
At 7:35 pm, our psychic artist senses the presence of “a man in a “sailor’s” military uniform.
At 7:50 pm, Angela reports having a cold sensation near her left hand and she “got the impression things ‘quieted down’ at the location because of our presence.
Angela also reports that when she was in the bedroom located nearest to the kitchen, that “one of the girls living there was having nightmares. She notes “she wakes up crying and she sleeps in the bed by the door. I saw a young child screaming – distress, not anger.” In regard to the nightmares, Angela did not know at the time that several of the children were experiencing nightmares on a consistent basis or that they were waking up extremely frightened and distressed.
She then notes that in a separate incident in the same room she senses “someone’s hand being burned with an iron.” At the same time she notes that she senses “smoke.” She did not know at the time that there was a major fire nearby the location in 2007, nor did she know that a man was severely burned in that fire, who suffered from smoke inhalation and who sustained significant burns to the face. The fire was significant enough to force a business to close its doors, and anyone living in the location to relocate.

Issues with Equipment:
While recording the interview with the clients, the digital recorder temporarily failed to operate, despite the fact that new batteries were placed into the recorder. After a few moments, we got the recorder to work.
Conclusion: Interactive Haunting.
Despite the lack of photographs associated with this case, the positive, interactive EVPs, the personal experiences of every family member in the home, the positive EMF findings, and the impressions offered by our psychic artist have led us to confirm that the location is haunted. We conducted a cleansing at the location, and the clients have had no further reports of paranormal activity. We will remain in contact with the family and provide further assistance, if required.

ISIS investigates a home in Albany County

The clients in the case requested an anonymous status, so all names in this report are changed to protect the clients’ identities. Paranormal experiences reported by the clients include the sighting of apparitions,” the children having severe nightmares, objects being moved or disappearing without explanation; the sudden appearance of knives and screwdrivers in odd locations throughout the home, and one child in the family has had repeated experiences with what she calls an “old hag.”

Client Background:
The family of six has lived at the current location for a period of three years; when interviewed, they did not know the actual age of the location. The family consists of two adults, two girls, and two boys. They reside in a two family unit on the bottom floor: the unit has eight rooms in all including a kitchen, living room, laundry room, a dining room, a bathroom, and three bedrooms. Renovations are ongoing at the location; the bathroom ceiling has collapsed two times in the past year, each time due to water damage. The bathroom was repaired three times in all: in February, August, and September of this year due to water leakage coming from upstairs.
Karen is 34, Victor is 35, the twins Raymond and Julia are 12, Rebecca is 11, and Tyler is 10. The home has been repeatedly blessed by a pastor who, at one time frequented the location. The pastor has not returned to the location in the past year. Karen reports no increase in paranormal activity when the home was blessed. A Wiccan Priestess has also used consecrated Sea Salt to form a protective ring around the bed’s belonging to the children, who refuse to sleep unless the salt has been placed around each bed. Otherwise, the home has not been spiritually cleansed. Karen and Victor knew of very little history in association with the site, but they did report a year prior to our visit, there was an armed robbery that occurred in the upstairs of the location. The home is situated near a large body of water, and there are underground tunnels in the area.
The family has not contacted any group prior to contacting our group, and no media has been involved in the case. Karen has told friends, family, and associates about the events in the location, many of which respond with disbelief. Victor and Karen express a sense of helplessness and increased stress due to the events that are happening in the home.
Victor is a Methodist, Karen is Catholic, and the children are Presbyterian: no one the family has recently converted from another religion. The couple illustrate an interest in the paranormal; they have watched The Atlantic Paranormal Society on television and they used to listen into the George Noory Radio Show online. Three years ago, an Ouija board was used at the location without any result produced; the board was used by people living at the location, who later moved out.
Interview
Karen and Victor report the location has been owned by at least two previous owners. When asked whether they knew anything about the history of the location or not, Karen explained the location was a dentist’s office at one time, but that there was no other information about the location offered when she conducted her research.
Karen and Victor report that two out of the four children that they have report frequent nightmares. Raymond and Julia, the twin 12 year olds report having no nightmares, but Rebecca, the 11 year old girl and Tyler the 10 year old boy both report having nightmares. Rebecca has nightmares so disturbing that she awakens shaking and crying, and Raymond follows a similar pattern of behaviors each evening; the dreams are often about someone harming them or their family members. The dreams are commonly violent involving armed intruders coming in through the windows of the home or the intruders making an attempt to kill the family. Karen reports that up until our visit the two youngest children were having nightmares every night, unless the Wiccan Priestess that frequents the location puts salt around each bed: only then do they sleep soundly through the night.
Rebecca told her parents that she saw the apparition of a young girl named “Lillian” who asked Rebecca where the dentist went (Note: the child knew that the location was formerly a dentist’s office before this occurrence.). In September 2011, while walking through the house, Rebecca reported seeing a man sitting out in the kitchen at the kitchen table. Rebecca told her mother that the man she saw reminded her of her grandfather, and that he told her to “Come sit on my lap,” but the child told the man that she could not. The child was afraid to go any further and she turned around and went into the living room. Following this event, Karen gave Rebecca a blessed Virgin Mary medallion and the child continues to wear the medallion for protection. The child also continues to carry stones that were given to her by a Wiccan Priestess for protection. The items helped the child to feel more secure in her current environment, but she still had lingering fears.
Since the age of four, Rebecca has repeatedly told her mother about an encounter with an “old hag.” She has told her mother that she has had dreams of a very old woman sucking the life out of her; in each encounter, “the woman wears a white outfit that is ripped. She is dirty; she has green teeth, long, nasty fingernails, and scraggly hair; Rebecca told me she would fly in through the window and steal her breath.” Sometimes the little girl would hear a “crazy laugh” or “cackle” just before the appearance of the old woman. After each encounter, Rebecca’s parents had to put plastic on the window, and check it every night for months so the child would go to sleep. Rebecca had another “old hag” encounter a couple of months prior to our visit at the new location. The child told Karen, “Mom, that lady’s back.”
One time, at the age of seven or eight, while sleeping over at her grandmother’s home, Rebecca woke up in the middle of the night. She reported to her mother that she saw a little girl standing at the end of her bed. The girl had a white dress on, and wore a pick bow. She told her mother that there were two men fighting over the little girl, that they would not stop fighting, and that the incident prevented her from going back to sleep.
When Victor cleaned out an apartment next door to the location, he discovered a book and the landlord told Victor he could keep it. One day, Rebecca looked through the book and freaked out. She said, “Mom, that’s the girl.” Karen looked at the picture and there was an image of an old hag.
Karen reports an ongoing issue with unexplained appearance of knives. The knives are found everywhere throughout the home, and when the children are questioned they adamantly deny having touched them. Knives have been found in the couch, behind the toilet, and under the heater. They also find screwdrivers in bizarre locations; they have absolutely no explanation as to why the knives and screwdrivers appear throughout the location. Other strange objects have been found in the home; for example, one time Karen found a garnet and sapphire ring, but she cannot explain where the ring came from.
Karen told us that a five year old little girl that formerly resided in the upstairs location (approximately one year before our visit to the location) repeatedly conveyed to her that there was a “bloody woman living in the bathtub,” in the upstairs apartment. Karen and Victor were friends with the family living upstairs, and Karen would often talk with Emily (the little girl’s mother) about how objects in her home would seemingly disappear and reappear elsewhere in the home, “I would put things down and they would somehow be moved.” When these incidents occurred, Karen would question herself, “Am I going crazy,” or “Did I put that there,” in an attempt to rationalize the unexplained movement of objects in the home. During their discussions, Emily revealed how her daughter refused to spend any time in the bathroom without the door being open; the little girl had also conveyed to her mother that there is “a bloody woman in the bathtub.” Karen explained that once the family upstairs moved out, the little girl no longer had any fear of being in the bathroom alone in their new home.
Karen’s son Tyler doesn’t report seeing spirits, but he reports feeling or sensing them. Tyler has had precognitive dreams; while his mother was out with a friend for a drive to the store, the child had a dream that his mother was in a car that blew up while on the way to the store. This dream occurred right around the same time that Karen and her friend experienced significant car problems: the vehicle blew a power steering hose. The twins, Raymond and Julia seemingly share psychic abilities: “When one child is sick, the other child will develop a fever, and Raymond knows when Julia needs him.”
Julia had an imaginary friend when she was about three or four years of age. Julia told her mother that the imaginary friend’s name was “Tom.” Julia always referred to this imaginary friend as “My friend Tom.” One day, Karen said to Julia, “Doesn’t Tom’s mom miss him, doesn’t he have to go home?” Julia replied, “Mom, Tom’s an adult.” She described Tom, and his description fit the description of Karen’s father to the letter, right down to the fishing hat with the fishing hooks in it that he always wore. She explains in her notes that “this is not the same lady she first sensed when entering the location, and that the woman is 'mean-spirited.'” At the time, our artist did not know of the “old hag” that one of the children reported seeing. She also sensed an “illness brought on from the damp, like pneumonia; she could feel and sense “chest congestion,” despite the fact that she was physically in good health herself. She did not know at the time that, in the late 1880s, a butcher residing across the street from the location died of tuberculosis or consumption.

At 7:25 pm, our psychic artist notes that she got the “impression of the death of baby or miscarriage.” She also notes that she “got the impression of ‘burns’ – not a house fire, but ‘burns.”
At 7:25 pm, one of our investigators sensed the presence of a small child, a girl, with blond curly hair, and an old blue dress. The investigator did not know at the time that one of the children has reported seeing a young girl at the foot of the bed when visiting the home of her grandmother.
At 7:35 pm, our psychic artist senses the presence of “a man in a “sailor’s” military uniform.
At 7:50 pm, Angela reports having a cold sensation near her left hand and she “got the impression things ‘quieted down’ at the location because of our presence.
Angela also reports that when she was in the bedroom located nearest to the kitchen, that “one of the girls living there was having nightmares. She notes “she wakes up crying and she sleeps in the bed by the door. I saw a young child screaming – distress, not anger.” In regard to the nightmares, Angela did not know at the time that several of the children were experiencing nightmares on a consistent basis or that they were waking up extremely frightened and distressed.
She then notes that in a separate incident in the same room she senses “someone’s hand being burned with an iron.” At the same time she notes that she senses “smoke.” She did not know at the time that there was a major fire nearby the location in 2007, nor did she know that a man was severely burned in that fire, who suffered from smoke inhalation and who sustained significant burns to the face. The fire was significant enough to force a business to close its doors, and anyone living in the location to relocate.

Conclusion: Interactive Haunting.
Despite the lack of photographs associated with this case, the positive, interactive EVPs, the personal experiences of every family member in the home, the positive EMF findings, and the impressions offered by our psychic artist have led us to confirm that the location is haunted. We conducted a cleansing at the location, and the clients have had no further reports of paranormal activity. We will remain in contact with the family and provide further assistance, if required.

The clients in the case requested an anonymous status, so all names in this report are changed to protect the clients’ identities. Paranormal experiences reported by the clients include the sighting of apparitions,” the children having severe nightmares, objects being moved or disappearing without explanation; the sudden appearance of knives and screwdrivers in odd locations throughout the home, and one child in the family has had repeated experiences with what she calls an “old hag.”

Client Background:
The family of six has lived at the current location for a period of three years; when interviewed, they did not know the actual age of the location. The family consists of two adults, two girls, and two boys. They reside in a two family unit on the bottom floor: the unit has eight rooms in all including a kitchen, living room, laundry room, a dining room, a bathroom, and three bedrooms. Renovations are ongoing at the location; the bathroom ceiling has collapsed two times in the past year, each time due to water damage. The bathroom was repaired three times in all: in February, August, and September of this year due to water leakage coming from upstairs.
Karen is 34, Victor is 35, the twins Raymond and Julia are 12, Rebecca is 11, and Tyler is 10. The home has been repeatedly blessed by a pastor who, at one time frequented the location. The pastor has not returned to the location in the past year. Karen reports no increase in paranormal activity when the home was blessed. A Wiccan Priestess has also used consecrated Sea Salt to form a protective ring around the bed’s belonging to the children, who refuse to sleep unless the salt has been placed around each bed. Otherwise, the home has not been spiritually cleansed. Karen and Victor knew of very little history in association with the site, but they did report a year prior to our visit, there was an armed robbery that occurred in the upstairs of the location. The home is situated near a large body of water, and there are underground tunnels in the area.
The family has not contacted any group prior to contacting our group, and no media has been involved in the case. Karen has told friends, family, and associates about the events in the location, many of which respond with disbelief. Victor and Karen express a sense of helplessness and increased stress due to the events that are happening in the home.
Victor is a Methodist, Karen is Catholic, and the children are Presbyterian: no one the family has recently converted from another religion. The couple illustrate an interest in the paranormal; they have watched The Atlantic Paranormal Society on television and they used to listen into the George Noory Radio Show online. Three years ago, an Ouija board was used at the location without any result produced; the board was used by people living at the location, who later moved out.
Interview
Karen and Victor report the location has been owned by at least two previous owners. When asked whether they knew anything about the history of the location or not, Karen explained the location was a dentist’s office at one time, but that there was no other information about the location offered when she conducted her research.
Karen and Victor report that two out of the four children that they have report frequent nightmares. Raymond and Julia, the twin 12 year olds report having no nightmares, but Rebecca, the 11 year old girl and Tyler the 10 year old boy both report having nightmares. Rebecca has nightmares so disturbing that she awakens shaking and crying, and Raymond follows a similar pattern of behaviors each evening; the dreams are often about someone harming them or their family members. The dreams are commonly violent involving armed intruders coming in through the windows of the home or the intruders making an attempt to kill the family. Karen reports that up until our visit the two youngest children were having nightmares every night, unless the Wiccan Priestess that frequents the location puts salt around each bed: only then do they sleep soundly through the night.
Rebecca told her parents that she saw the apparition of a young girl named “Lillian” who asked Rebecca where the dentist went (Note: the child knew that the location was formerly a dentist’s office before this occurrence.). In September 2011, while walking through the house, Rebecca reported seeing a man sitting out in the kitchen at the kitchen table. Rebecca told her mother that the man she saw reminded her of her grandfather, and that he told her to “Come sit on my lap,” but the child told the man that she could not. The child was afraid to go any further and she turned around and went into the living room. Following this event, Karen gave Rebecca a blessed Virgin Mary medallion and the child continues to wear the medallion for protection. The child also continues to carry stones that were given to her by a Wiccan Priestess for protection. The items helped the child to feel more secure in her current environment, but she still had lingering fears.
Since the age of four, Rebecca has repeatedly told her mother about an encounter with an “old hag.” She has told her mother that she has had dreams of a very old woman sucking the life out of her; in each encounter, “the woman wears a white outfit that is ripped. She is dirty; she has green teeth, long, nasty fingernails, and scraggly hair; Rebecca told me she would fly in through the window and steal her breath.” Sometimes the little girl would hear a “crazy laugh” or “cackle” just before the appearance of the old woman. After each encounter, Rebecca’s parents had to put plastic on the window, and check it every night for months so the child would go to sleep. Rebecca had another “old hag” encounter a couple of months prior to our visit at the new location. The child told Karen, “Mom, that lady’s back.”
One time, at the age of seven or eight, while sleeping over at her grandmother’s home, Rebecca woke up in the middle of the night. She reported to her mother that she saw a little girl standing at the end of her bed. The girl had a white dress on, and wore a pick bow. She told her mother that there were two men fighting over the little girl, that they would not stop fighting, and that the incident prevented her from going back to sleep.
When Victor cleaned out an apartment next door to the location, he discovered a book and the landlord told Victor he could keep it. One day, Rebecca looked through the book and freaked out. She said, “Mom, that’s the girl.” Karen looked at the picture and there was an image of an old hag.
Karen reports an ongoing issue with unexplained appearance of knives. The knives are found everywhere throughout the home, and when the children are questioned they adamantly deny having touched them. Knives have been found in the couch, behind the toilet, and under the heater. They also find screwdrivers in bizarre locations; they have absolutely no explanation as to why the knives and screwdrivers appear throughout the location. Other strange objects have been found in the home; for example, one time Karen found a garnet and sapphire ring, but she cannot explain where the ring came from.
Karen told us that a five year old little girl that formerly resided in the upstairs location (approximately one year before our visit to the location) repeatedly conveyed to her that there was a “bloody woman living in the bathtub,” in the upstairs apartment. Karen and Victor were friends with the family living upstairs, and Karen would often talk with Emily (the little girl’s mother) about how objects in her home would seemingly disappear and reappear elsewhere in the home, “I would put things down and they would somehow be moved.” When these incidents occurred, Karen would question herself, “Am I going crazy,” or “Did I put that there,” in an attempt to rationalize the unexplained movement of objects in the home. During their discussions, Emily revealed how her daughter refused to spend any time in the bathroom without the door being open; the little girl had also conveyed to her mother that there is “a bloody woman in the bathtub.” Karen explained that once the family upstairs moved out, the little girl no longer had any fear of being in the bathroom alone in their new home.
Karen’s son Tyler doesn’t report seeing spirits, but he reports feeling or sensing them. Tyler has had precognitive dreams; while his mother was out with a friend for a drive to the store, the child had a dream that his mother was in a car that blew up while on the way to the store. This dream occurred right around the same time that Karen and her friend experienced significant car problems: the vehicle blew a power steering hose. The twins, Raymond and Julia seemingly share psychic abilities: “When one child is sick, the other child will develop a fever, and Raymond knows when Julia needs him.”
Julia had an imaginary friend when she was about three or four years of age. Julia told her mother that the imaginary friend’s name was “Tom.” Julia always referred to this imaginary friend as “My friend Tom.” One day, Karen said to Julia, “Doesn’t Tom’s mom miss him, doesn’t he have to go home?” Julia replied, “Mom, Tom’s an adult.” She described Tom, and his description fit the description of Karen’s father to the letter, right down to the fishing hat with the fishing hooks in it that he always wore. Even more eerie is the fact that Karen’s grandfather was named Tom. Surprisingly, the child had never seen a picture of him because Karen does not have one.
Karen told us that most of the unusual activity occurs in Rebecca’s room. Karen conveyed to us that the children would be in a great mood when they get out of school, but that when they return home they become irritable and moody. Both parents state “It’s like a switch being turned on…they become angry…they continuously fight when they get home from school.”
As mentioned earlier, several children experience nightmares. All of the children have experienced night terrors, and Tyler, the 10 year old has been seen “fighting in his sleep” as he pounded on his pillow. All of the children talk in their sleep. Karen reports that there have been instances where it was next to impossible to wake Victor up, which is unusual because he is usually easy to wake. No one in the family reports having “thoughts that are not their own, hearing strange sounds, whispering, murmuring, or other paranormal sounds. However, sometimes Karen hears her name called out, only to find that no one is at the location with her or that no one called out to her.
Karen has smelled the scent of Vanilla in the home without an explainable source for the scent. She told us that her grandmother always wore Vanilla scents. On other occasions, the couple report smelling burn wood, burnt rubber, and burnt plastic. They have also experienced a number of electrical problems; the television goes on by itself; the lights turn on without aid; the blow dryer grounded out, light bulbs blow out frequently, and batteries drain rapidly. The family has several cats, some of which, on occasion, seem to be looking at something unseen.
Karen and Victor report the a “lost sense of time” when they are in the apartment. Sometimes they wonder ‘where did the day go,” or sometimes the walk into a room and cannot remember what they walked into the room for. The couple asserts that such instances are very likely due to mundane causes or simple short memory lapses. Dramatic temperature changes have been noted by the couple, particularly in the pantry area of the home where the room temperature seems to go from hot to cold.
The couple reports the feeling of being watched by something unseen. They report seeing black shadows out of the corner of their eye, and shadow people. They also report getting unusual phone calls where there is nothing but static on the end of the line.
Brief History of the Location:
Our research reveals that the present home at the location was built in the late 1950s, and that another building existed on the site prior to the establishment of the current home. We have confirmed that the former building was the site of a dentist’s office, opened in the 1920s. We also confirmed that the home was owned by at least two owners; the current owner of the location purchased the residence in 2006.
Historical research reveals that in 2007 there was a fire on the same side of the street as the present location, several houses down; the fire occurred due to a candle being left unattended during a power outage. There is more historical information that our team has uncovered in relation to this case, but it cannot be revealed, otherwise it will give significant clues to where the home and family is located.

EVP Readings:
Several EVPs were captured in association with this case, ranging from class A to class C. Four class A EVPs were captured. While conducting EVPs, the investigator asks “Do you know where you are?” After a few moments of silence, a class A EVP appears: it sounds like a young male’s voice clearly stating “My room.” Another class A EVP appears during the interviews with the client. The investigator asks another investigator what time it is so that the time can be documented. About a split second before the investigator says “8:40” two EVP voices appear in unison, clearly stating “10:40.”
During the interview with the clients, two Class A EVPs appear. In the first, two investigators are discussing precognitive dreams. An EVP voice appears saying “Nice topic people.” In the second Class A sample, as the client talks about how the pastor used to bless the home, a nasty, aggressive voice seems to speak rapidly and partially talks over the client by hissing “He prays for us.”
During a moment of silence while collecting EVP samples, a class B EVP appears: a voice can be heard saying “Ghost spirit…I hate that.”
Four class C EVPs are captured. The first is in answer to the investigator’s question “ When you were alive, were you male or female.” A disembodied voice responds with “I was a…female.”
The second Class C EVP appears after an investigator questions the time. A sing-songy EVP appears, "You're not continuing."
The third Class C sample is in response to the question “Are you angry.” An EVP voice responds with, “I’m angry for …(inaudible)… I’m patient.”
The final Class C sample collected is in response to the question, “Are you happy or sad?” The EVP voice response is, ““I’m angry (bang, bang), the odds will get…”.

A positive, audible EMF reading was captured in one of the children’s bedrooms, just over the child’s bed. No mundane source was identified for the reading. The tool used to capture the reading converts EMF to an audible sound wave that can be heard through headphones.

Temperature Fluctuations:
At 7:25 pm, a temperature fluctuation was noted in the master bedroom of the home. The digital thermometer fluctuated from a base reading of 24 degrees Celsius to 25 degrees Celsius. (Base reading of 75.2 degrees to 77 degrees Fahrenheit.)
At 7:30 pm, in the living room of the home, a temperature fluctuation was noted. The thermometer fluctuated from a base reading 23 degrees Celsius to 24 degrees Celsius. (Base reading of 73.4 degrees to 75.2 degrees Fahrenheit).
At 7:32 pm, a temperature fluctuation was noted in the girl’s bedroom; the thermometer fluctuated from a base reading 21 degrees to 22 degrees Celsius. (Base reading of 69.8 degrees to 71.6 degrees Fahrenheit.)
At 7:34 pm, a temperature fluctuation was noted in the boy’s bedroom; the thermometer fluctuated from a base reading 21 to 22 degrees Celsius. (Base reading of 69.8 to 71.6 degrees Fahrenheit.)
At 7:38 pm, a temperature fluctuation was noted in the kitchen of the location; this room proved to have the highest degree of fluctuation. The base temperature moved from a base reading 23 degrees Celsius to 26 degrees Celsius. The reading then returned to 23 degrees Celsius after a few moments. It then dropped down to 19 degrees Celsius. After a few moments the temperature when up one more degree to 20 degrees Celsius. (The base reading was 73.4 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperature then fluctuated to 78.8 degrees and later returned to 73.4 degrees Fahrenheit, before dropping to 66.2 degrees and increasing slightly to 68 degrees Fahrenheit.)
Pendulum Readings:
7:05 pm A pendulum reading in the living room begins to spin widdershins, suggestive of negative energies.
At 7:12 pm, a pendulum reading in the kitchen begins to spin widdershins, suggestive of negative energies.
