Vatican to hold Darwin conference

To mark the 150th anniversary of Darwin's Origin of Species the Vatican are holding a five day conference on the subject of evolution and creationism.
The Vatican is sponsoring a five day conference to mark the 150th anniversary of the publication of Charles Darwin's Origin of Species. The subject is the compatibility of evolution and creation. It is one of two separate international academic conferences being sponsored by the Vatican this year. "

Interesting. A friend and I were at work a while back talking about how all the church had to do to improve it's numbers was accept evolution into it's teachings. Most of the common debate would end with two arguments coming to the same side of the table. I've long had trouble debating with someone who believes intelligent design started evolution.
