During the first million years of their formation comets would have contained large amounts of liquid water it has been claimed. Coupled with the organics contained inside this could have easily provided an ideal environment for life to develop.

Ah, I always thought panspermia meant life coming from some place *outside* the solar system. Now it makes a lot more sense, lol.

They may have had water interiors, but the different sources and frequencies of Space radiation would have prevented life from even starting to form. I mean think about it. Man still hides in Near Earth Orbit under the protection of the planets Magnetosphere because of the dangers of inter solar radiation.

Wow! Water on/in comets! Who would have ever thought that? What will the scientists figure out next?! Possibly that the T.Rexs ate meat? Now that would be something! OK seriously, why can't these puss headed lunatic scientists figure something out that we don't know. Hmmm comets..... water? Freaking Di di di!!! When water gets too cold what does it turn into? ICE!! What is the main compesition of comets? ICE!!! What would happen to a comet if it was warmed up too much? It would melt into water and it's other compositional elements! Why even print this article? This is NOT Earth shattering news... [More]
