Researchers at the University of Tokyo have succeeded in creating not only a working three dimensional hologram projector but also a system using ultrasound to creature tactile feedback when someone interacts with the image.
Called the Airborne Ultrasound Tactile Display, the hologram projector uses an ultrasound phenomenon called acoustic radiation pressure to create a pressure sensation on a user's hands, which are tracked with two Nintendo Wiimotes.

Hey I wonder if the ultrasound usage for the feeling sensation is safe... What about the long term effects of it on our hands and bodies for example. Don't they limit the number of ultrasounds a pregnant mother could have because of the possible side effects on the fetus? Hmmm...

I bet you thought that when computers were invented too. LOL I'm just kidding I'm 55 years old, and remember having one of the first portable computers at a science club fair in 1971. We were all amazed that we could actually talk with a key board to students at another school 30 miles away! NOW look at what I'm doing! P.S.; Used Spell Check to correct for misspelling, A god send!

What if you make a hologram of say, a speeding bullet or an arrow, will that hurt your hand if trying to catch it? Odie

I bet you thought that when computers were invented too. LOL Im just kidding I'm 64. I was watching my grandkids playing with this rock guitar thing the other day and I was utterly fascinated by it. But now I recall ten years ago when computers started getting really popular, I said to myself "I'll never get one of those things". Now I have four of em'. Odie
