A pregnant woman who went for a routine ultrasound in June discovered that she was also pregnant with a second baby that had been conceived after the conception of the first, a medical occurence that is extraordinarily rare.
A pregnant woman in Arkansas surprised doctors twice over when she went in for a routine ultrasound this June. Doctors successfully located Todd and Julia Grovenburg's growing baby girl Jillian, but then discovered another smaller baby -- what could be Jillian's younger brother -- growing beside her.

Getting in labor twice in two weeks? I would assume when the contractions starts, both will be coming out, it's not as if two weeks earlier is a mortal danger to the newborn these days.

so would these be considered twins if born together or if born seperately.

They'll be considered fraternal twins since they share the same womb.

Of course they share the same womb. Women only have one, ya know. I'm sure they'll be delivered together.

Of course they share the same womb. Women only have one, ya know. I'm sure they'll be delivered together. MOSt women only have one. There have been rare accounts of double uterus that i have heard of. I still think that the smaller twin is just that-- a smaller twin they didn't see the first go. They didn't see my son's twin sister until further along and she was smaller. I have no way of knowing if they would have been born together, I lost them six months in but I assume they would have.
