Plumbing of a supervolcano revealed

Its one of the most destructive forces on the planet and now scientists have been given the chance to take a glimpse for the first time at the plumbing system of a supervolcano through fossilized remains discovered in the Italian Alps.
The fossilized remains of a supervolcano that erupted some 280 million years ago in the Italian Alps are giving geologists a first-time glimpse at the deep "plumbing system" that brings molten rock from far underground to the Earth's surface.
