Humans are still evolving but what will this mean for us in the distant future ? With progress in the field of genetic engineering will we even have the chance to evolve much further or will science and technology take over ?
The past of human evolution is more and more coming to light as scientists uncover a trove of fossils and genetic knowledge. But where might the future of human evolution go?

Science will follow and Evolution will lead...Both may be governing the same subject but it seems theoretically they are miles apart...Science will evolve as man evolve Thanks B???

Great point B???, Because our evolution is in technology, our biological evolution will soon follow that part of 'evolution'. Continueing the trend of perpetual technological evolution, I don't see why we could not evolve the same way physicaly once we evolve that aspect of our science. As for genetic engineering we are doing it right now, we are splicing genes, controling genes, even cross breading different species altogether. Keep in mind this does not all take place on North American soil but off in India and Switzerland/Sweden area. If anyone would like to read more into this I'll gather ... [More]

"If you've ever gone through a childbirth or witnessed one," Ward says, "we're already anatomically right on the edge of how big our heads can go — our big brains have already caused extreme problems in childbirth, and if we had bigger and bigger brains, that'd cause more mothers to die in childbirth, so evolution would select against that." then we'll just evolve wider pelvises.

then we'll just evolve wider pelvises. Would that be selected for? remember in that scenario it be men preferring woman with wider pelvises as partners.

The future of our evolution...provided self inflicted, and natural catastrophes don't kill us all first.

I read that Man will evolve into a finger and a button. That will be the end of him, because the finger will get too lazy to push the button.
