Moon's water comes in three flavours

Scientists have so far discovered three different types of water on the moon where once there was thought to be none.
Paul Spudis of the Lunar and Planetary Institute explained: "We have Mini-SAR's thick lenses of nearly pure crater ice, LCROSS's fluffy mix of ice crystals and dirt, and M-cube's thin layer that comes and goes all across the surface of the moon."
Since the surprise discovery last year of trace amounts of water on the moon, scientists have been redefining their concept of Earth's rocky neighbor. Now researchers say the water on the moon comes in three different flavors.

I don't think we will be stripping the moon of anything anytime soon considering that state of the space program.

I am missing your point. Were not we talking About the three types of water being disclosed? And yes, I have been told that there is no such type of thing as three different waters to be found in other cicles. It's one type of water. Three different forms of ice deposits.

"and M-cube's thin layer that comes and goes all across the surface of the moon." And for some reason we didn't see this during any of the Apollo missions? Interesting!

"and M-cube's thin layer that comes and goes all across the surface of the moon." And for some reason we didn't see this during any of the Apollo missions? Interesting! that thin layer probable lays down during the 2 week+ long night and where ever the sun hits during the day sub-melts(wrong word couldnt remember the right one) like dry ice does on earth and mars. Things change, D. I get the feeling that by the beginning of next year, we'll start seeing some big changes happening in Washington. Real changes, for the better. we can only hope, but i wont hold my breath.

We have quite enough threads on President Obama and his plans for NASA, please lets not hijack every thread to discuss them. I wasn't Waspie. I was merely addressing a legitimate concern regarding going back to the Moon, and painting a ray of hope for the future.
