British scientists are developing a new type of liquid armour that is capable of stopping bullets.
A liquid armour has been shown to stop bullets in tests carried out by UK scientists at BAE systems in Bristol. The researchers have combined this "shear-thickening" liquid with Kevlar to create a new bullet-proof material.

"Are you saying I can dodge bullets?" "No, when you're ready, you won't have to"

It's own like Donkey Kong now! What's next, Meringue flavored parachutes? Or perhaps armor that camoflauges by mimicking the chemical properties of various pastries? The possibilities are endless!

They stole my idea! Way back in the 80s I played games like D&D, and one of them was Marvel Superheroes. So my character actually invented spray on armor. It worked by increasing the strength of the materials so that cardboard can be as hard as steel and it also increased the strength of metals y a factor of ten by altering their density. :angry2: b

Interesting read. I noticed the article said "In the tests, scientists used a large gas gun to fire ball bearing-shaped metal bullets at over 300 metres per second ..." Ball bearing shaped bullets? What about real, pointy ones?

I just watched a video where a live pig was used as ammo, is there no one looking into that?

Get water an mix cornflour into it, this is what I imagine the stuff to be like. It's liquid but under any impact it hardens. You can play with it for hours..... I mean your kids can......lol TFM

A big step in the right direction. Liquid armor was a wide range of applications and is a precursor to unlocking many new types of technology.
