A team will revisit the Titanic next month and generate a 3-dimensional map of the entire wreckage.
The expedition is the most advanced scientific mission to the Titanic since it was discovered on the bottom of the ocean 25 years ago, it is hoped that the new data collected will be made available for public viewing.
A team of scientists will launch an expedition to the Titanic next month to assess the deteriorating condition of the world's most famous shipwreck and create a detailed three-dimensional map that will "virtually raise the Titanic" for the public.

The Titanic fascinates me. I plan on spending my birthday at the new Titanic Museum at Pigeon Forge next month. It's not one of the cheesy attractions that are so prevalent in that area. http://www.titanicpigeonforge.com/

Interesting fact the Titanic was built Built in Belfast in Northern Ireland, not Ireland, Ireland is devided into two countries Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, and they hate eachother, just incase anyone doesn't know.

The story of the Titanic will be ever-evolving,even after the great lady herself is gone. Sure will! What a sad day that will be. I've loved reading of the Titanic since I was a child. It's a story so full of tragedy and so unforgettable. They have a Titanic artefact exhibition traveling the world right now and it's currently here in Melbourne. I must go see it.

Yeah PIXIII... the tour was here in Atlanta GA USA a couple of years ago. Rumor has it, the exhibit is haunted. I wish i had gone to it while it was here. If you do go, you may want to keep your eyes and ears open... you never know.

One can only imagine the amount of objects that are included in the exhibit would be some of the victim's personal items which could have spirits/energy attached to them somehow (for example: a jewelled hair comb, or smoking pipe etc) .... Just thinking about it gives me shivers

It was in Philadelphia a few years back to but I couldn't get off from work on the weekend we were to go. Gave my ticket to someone else. The experience itself is probably haunting. Would have loved to have seen it. In a way though it's a shame Ballard didn't claim rights to the wreck and protect it from salvagers. It is kind of a sacred spot. But then, we wouldn't have the relics we do if he had. And the photographs. At least we'll always have those memories of her long after she disappears forever to the sea.
