Are we living in a designer universe ?

Some believe that our universe was designed by a creator but could its creator be a civilization of people ?
Rather than being the product of a single entity the universe may have been the product of an advanced civilization of people using technology of a nature not entirely dissimilar to the machines and devices we use in our every day lives.
The argument over whether the universe has a creator, and who that might be, is among the oldest in human history. But amid the raging arguments between believers and sceptics, one possibility has been almost ignored – the idea that the universe around us was created by people very much like ourselves, using devices not too dissimilar to those available to scientists today.

Can someone answer this for me? When we look into deep space as far as we can, 13 or so billion light years away. Is that in all directions or just one? If it's just one, how far can we look in the oposite direction.? How do sceintist reconcile if indeed we look one way so far and then the other so far it adds up to more than the age of the universe inbetween? Or is it just the furthest one way to the furthest to the other adds up to the age of the universe? If it is 13 billion one way and say ten the other, how do sceintists reconcile they apear to be traveling faster than the speed of light ... [More]

I agree totally, that's why it it is completely illogical do dismiss design when we are so ignorant. those that do are engaging in faith just as bad as creationist, that has been my argument from the beginning. If progress is to be made we have to be completely open and not closed. Honestly if we are closed we will evenchually perish.....maby sooner than later. So far the only open people are agnostics, atheistic scientists are dangerouse, and so are religious fundamentalist ( that has been prooven ) I'm just worried that the atheistic sceintific religon will turn out to be just another opress... Our scientific culture has finally come realize that our planet, the Sun, and the entire solar system had its origins at the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. We also have recently found that our Galaxy is 70,000 light years in diameter, with most of its 400 billion stars concentrated in the great central bulge. Equipped with ultraviolet, x-ray and gamma-ray instruments, plus infrared telescopes most astronomers are now convinced that at the center of our Galaxy is a massive black hole the unimaginable seize of millions of our suns. This is where Science and Mythology truly meet. For what the ce... [More]

There is no validity in presenting that either the cosmological constant, or probability theories explain away the existence of God...If one is intent upon presenting all other possibilities as evidence then one is engaged in a Fallacy...think about it. Probability upon Universal scales?? We exist somehow, ideological thinking in the context of today, fall well short, in my expectation of resolution...I hope things get better though and consider that very possible...The idea that Earth is in the Goldilocks zone is a favorite for skeptics suggestive that be pure chance we are alive...based upon... Yes yes yes, you. Anyone reading this should understand. Our ignorance is so great that anyone telling you they have the answer should be viewed with great suspicion.,, yes even hawking ( though I realy like him ). Small truths can be found in sceince......... Giant truths can be found in personal experience.

So what caused this universe an accident? or was it magic? The problem of originality does not come with just a creator it comes with any theory. Sorry but saying it was an accident is sillier than claiming god did it. So the big bang theory is sillier then a magical man alive before anything existed and pooped the universe into existence? What are you trying to say?
