A paranormal investigation team has captured images they believe to be of a ghostly judge at Dorset County Museum.
Photographs and video taken during the investigation reveal the figure of a man believed to be the infamous Judge Jeffreys in the museum's main hall. They also photographed what they believe to be the ghost of a woman with a cape around her neck.
A group of investigators from Weymouth have released the findings of their investigation into paranormal activity in Dorset County Museum in Dorchester. They have photos which they believe to be of "hanging" Judge Jeffreys and local fossil collector Mary Anning in the museum's main hall.

I had a look at their website, They are just one of the countless (what I call thrill seeking) damaging groups that have popped up after a serge of "paranormal investigation" TV shows, all wanting to mimic their fraudulent TV heros. One such piece of evidence of these kind of groups unprofessionalism, is their continued enthusiasm for dust, they have countless photos of "orbs" caused by dust in their archives, its so unprofessional and embarrassing to serious Occult research that its helped further destroy its reputation and hinder the search for supernatural proof. For this reason alone I can... [More]

typical generic hype you except to see on youtube. First put music (spooky is optional) put a lot of writing to set the mood of being "spooky" and then show bunch of dust and then show a reflection. Jolly good

This looks peculiar to me. It does seem awfully grainy, but the sheets--err, I mean spirits seem to be well defined.

agreed, im glad you posted the link, im just saying they dont really seem to 'investigate' well. Based on their findings. *Edit* The object appears to be there most of the time, when theyre up higher than the ground floor, and getting a different angle on the pics. Funny how they notice their tiny orbs, but not this Apparent ghostly figure the entire time. I think I see what you mean. I just look at the picture for what it is and let my eyes do the walking. I see nothing in these pictures. Ill defined somethins and dust. Just more of the same on a slow news day. I give a hearty shrug of the sh... [More]

as with most paranormal investigation teams alot of their so called 'evidence' is orb photos dissapointing really you'd think these teams would take time to research and realise orbs are created by perfectly explainable things

Does anyone know what actually would have been the garb and style of wig that would have been worn in Jeffrey's time? That might be interesting for comparison

Hmm.....looking at the style of wig for a start...the museum still looks more Lady GaGa than Judge Jeffreys in comparison (unless in the intervening years he's eBayed for some wig straighteners)

Museums will promote these sort of 'findings' in order to get people to come visit and pay admission. Also... about the orbs thing, I have noticed that my watch face casts an 'orb' on walls and it took me ages to figure out where the light was coming from. Could orbs be reflections from people's watch faces?
