Bo Si the Panda replaces Paul the Octopus

A panda named Bo Si in China has caused a stir with his alleged psychic predictions.
Earlier this year an octopus was credited with predicting match results in the World Cup, now Bo Si has taken over Paul's crown by allegedly predicting the first gold medal winner of the Asian Games in Guangzhou.
The world of predictions is such a fickle place. If you thought that 2010 was going to be remembered for Paul the Octopus's psychic World Cup predictions then you were wrong. For we have a new player on the scene and he ain't gonna be turned into paella anytime soon.

This is the dumbest thing i have ever heard. The panda was given two chooses, bamboo or an apple, he choose the bamboo (Like most panders would since it's their favorite food), which represents a Chinese winner. How is that a prediction seriously? That's like putting a steak and an apple in front of a tiger, it's going for the steak.

I don't think it has anything to do with people stretching things into anything supernatural. . . I think it has more to do with China constantly trying to manufacture publicity for their zoos and animal parks. Their notorious for having lax rules, very serious cases of animal abuse, and putting animals in dangerous situations just to grab a second of publicity. I've heard so many stories of tigers eating people who visit the zoos in China, but too few of those stories report the fact that the tigers were starving to death and very sick. Of all the zoos purposely killing off tigers and selling... [More]
