Wasn't Nessie simply a log in the water, that made it seem like a beast? The video isn't fake, just the moment of when it happens wasn't what it appeared to be. An illusion so to speak.

If you look at t5he film, you discover that boat is in it. I think it is a wake personally, for wakes have been demonstrated to look like humps.
