Man photographs strange object above his home similar to the objects in NASA's tether video.
Colin Davis, a retired camera operator living in Woodvale, Australia, reportedly saw a strange object hovering in the sky near his home last Saturday (January 8th) morning. "At first, I thought it was a bright star and it appeared to follow the same path," he said. As the sun rose, however, the object retained its brilliance, leading Davis to the conclusion that the anomaly was closer to the earth than he had thought.
Craig Kendal, coordinator of the area's Discovery, Science and Technology Centre planetarium, conjectured that the object may have actually been a star - Sirius, the brightest star in the sky (excluding our sun). He enforced his proposition with a similar sighting by NASA scientists performing an experiment in 2007, the "tether" video is included below.

“I compared the images with footage from a YouTube clip titled ‘tether NASA and what was astounding was the similarity in the shapes, markings and hole formations on both the flying objects. ”
