Paul Brown reported a strange glowing object floating across the skies over the Scottish city.
"I watched for the lights of plane or helicopter but nothing. It continued to travel east shimmering like a star in winter sky, a tangerine kind of glow round shaped," he said. Mr Brown discounted the idea that it was a sky lantern stating "i've studied astronomy for many years and seen many things in the sky this was very new and I've not found a match."
A UFO sighting over Glasgow's Parkhead Forge shopping centre in the east of the city is being claimed by a visitor to the STV News website.

The only time I've seen anything odd in the night sky, it looked exactly like this. The one I saw was too high and steady to by a Chinese lantern, and it was pretty windy that night. My original post is here in UM somewhere.

Wow, that's similar to what I've seen. Just add some pulsating lights around the rim and it would be a match. Very weird indeed.
