Former military officials will present evidence of UFOs at the International UFO Congress convention.
Scheduled to take place at the end of February in Scottsdale the conference will be the 20th since the organisation was established back in 1991. "We wanted to expose the event to everyone, not just UFO buffs," says marketing director Maureen Elsberry.
Organizers say former American, Canadian and British military officials will present evidence of the existence of UFOs at a Valley conference this month. The International UFO Congress (IUC) will hold its 20th convention in Scottsdale at the end of February.

Rather, replaced. That's why I said the fundamental debate. Of course new debates/conspiracy theories/religious views would pop up. But science would finally be free to examine data, new ideas for energy could come about...the paradigm shift of what is possible would occur giving us a new ceiling...nothing major.

True, nothing major. Nothing we don't fundamentally already have now.

We'll just have to wait and see. I remember something Michio Kaku said before about ET visiting Earth. It would make more sense to send a drone or robot, then to actually travel personally. I think if there is anything ET about the UFO phenom, it would most likely be that. That could very well be what some of the UFOs are--intelligent machines of some kind, "piloted" by robots or androids designed for space travel and programmed to carry out certain missions. Isn't it odd that someone as clever as Michio Kaku would make such an assumption? If we know anything about aliens, it's that we know NO... [More]

Is this going to be about exposing evidence or expressing opinion. I think more or less the latter will be the case. I think things will go on as they have before, without disclosure coming from any US government official. Meanwhile, many other countries have confirmed the existence of UFOs, via released documents. If you want sources, I am sure they are provided somewhere here on this site, so give it a search. It should be made known that I am here merely to express some of my thoughts and will refuse to engage in discussion or to not provide sources if I so choose ( which is becoming a nece... [More]

The lights may have been debunked as being flares, but many people (including the former Governer) claim to have witnessed a large boomerang shaped object earlier that evening. Perhaps that's what they're referring to? Considering Fife Symington made the announcement with his chief of staff dressed as an Alien, I would lean more toward publicity stunt on that one. And people wonder why the subject is not taken seriously? I mean seriously!

Who debunked the Phoenix lights ? The fact is many counties are investigating ufos even if the American press and military present them as a joke to the public. I feel that is because of the presentation. People seem happy to think any UFO is ET, the pop culture connection was made in the 50's and now the two are synonymous. If people are going to report anything and everything as ET, rather than a detailed deion of a genuine UFO, is any more warranted? I mean one has to take the phenomena seriously to begin with if one expects a serious investigation. Removing the link between ET and UFO woul... [More]

Isn't it odd that someone as clever as Michio Kaku would make such an assumption? If we know anything about aliens, it's that we know NOTHING about them. How can we assume what would make more sense? Any assumptions we'd be making would be based on OUR way of thinking, OUR technologies and OUR understanding of science... [This is not to say I think he's wrong, I just don't think you can make an assumption that ONE thing is more likely than ANOTHER] I think it is a reasonable solution based on what we have to make such assumptions with - our pool of one, and the resources required to cross such...
